The print width is freely shifted on a display screen by left and right cursors, and its shift position (print start position) is stored in a memory. A printing operation for the print data is performed on the basis of information of the stored shift position. Therefore, the actual print position can be recognized on the display before the printing operation is carried out.

Abstract: A dual screen control apparatus includes a display which has the capability to display a dual screen having a first display screen and a second display screen. One of the first display screen and the second display screen is a current screen in which a cursor is displayed and the other is a non-current screen. Setting information is displayed only on the current screen so as to enable discrimination of the current screen easily.
