The printing head includes a system of channels containing input and output channels, upper and lower channels for separation of nutrient medium, as well as a channel for a supporting plunger. Output channel has diameter not less than diameter of inlet channel, includes input hole for input of printing tool and outlet hole for output of spheroids. Separation channels are made with possibility of connection of nutrient removal device with outlet channel through system of microchannels. Device includes a printing head, a device for feeding spheroids with a nutrient medium into an inlet channel, a device for removal of nutrient medium, a supporting plunger, a printing tool, a system for recording position of the spheroid in the output channel and a computing device for control.

    Abstract: Current invention relates to biotechnology sphere and particularly describes the novel approach for non-attached biofilm-like aggregates fabrication in vitro under artificial microgravity environment conditions. Non-attached aggregates are grown under magnetic levitation conditions achieved by placing microorganisms suspension in paramagnetic nutrient medium in inhomogeneous magnetic field created by specifically developed permanent magnets. The invention method can produce biofilm-like aggregates from protozoa, fungi, microalgae, Gram-positive or Gram-negative bacteria and/or a consortium. The presented technology can be used for development of medications for treatment of chronic infections, antiseptics and solutions for surfaces, as well as in other applications requiring the use of non-attached biofilm-like aggregates model.

    Abstract: This invention is related to technology of tissue-engineered constructs biofabrication from tissue spheroids. This novel technology of scaffold-free, nozzle-free and label-free bioassembly opens a unique opportunity for rapid biofabrication of 3D tissue and organ constructs with complex geometry. A combination of intense magnetic and acoustic fields could enable rapid levitational bioassembly of complex-shaped 3D tissue constructs from tissue spheroids at low concentration of paramagnetic agent (gadolinium salt) in the medium. Magnetic field provides objects levitation due to field configuration with the lowest magnetic field density in the center of working volume of medium with tissue spheroids, and three-dimensional acoustic field forms internal and external construct geometry by means of acoustic radiation forces.

    Abstract: The present invention generally relates to biofabrication technology and, more particularly, to systems and methods for manufacturing three-dimensional constructs made of various materials using scaffold-free, nozzle-free and label-free magnetic levitation in non-toxic paramagnetic medium. The essence of the method consists of rapid levitational assembly in the construct's heterogenous magnetic field from various materials, such as, for example, tissue spheroids, single-cell suspension, microorganisms, peptides, potassium phosphate granules, which are chaotically distributed in the volume of culture medium. The construct is formed in a specific area where a magnetic trap is formed as a result of the combined forces of gravitational and magnetic fields. In this area, the gravitational pull is compensated and particles of material are forced together.
