  • Publication number: 20230337229
Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to perform SRS transmission when a UE supports SRS Tx antenna port switching. In an example, a determination is made about whether a scheduled SRS transmission impacts a scheduled DL reception given the SRS Tx antenna port switching. If so, the SRS transmission and/or the DL reception are changed. In a further example, the UE can supports an SRS TA capability in conjunction with the SRS Tx antenna port switching capability. In this example, SRS TA can be applied to a scheduled SRS transmission.

  • Publication number: 20230337094
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing dual active protocol stack handovers in a frequency range above 24 GHz. A UE may transmit an indication to a base station indicating a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover capability of the UE corresponding to a frequency range (FR) above 24 GHz. The UE may receive, from a target cell of the one or more cells, a command to perform a DAPS handover from a source cell to the target cell. While performing the DAPS handover and maintaining a data connection with the source cell, the UE may perform measurements on the target cell followed by a physical random access channel (PRACH) procedure. The UE may then receive a source cell release command from the target cell and release the data connection with the source cell.

  • Publication number: 20230328655
Abstract: An approach is described for a dynamic off period of a base station within a wireless communication environment and a process for notifying a UE of the same. In a first scenario, the DCI message is modified with newly-defined values indicative of the different power saving states (i.e., “dynamic off states”) of the base station. These power saving states may defined as suspending one or both of downlink transmission and uplink reception. In another scenario, a new notification message is defined. In either case, the notification signal may also include cell and/or beam specific parameters as well as an application delay that defines a start time of the dynamic off period.

  • Patent number: 11777691
Abstract: A wireless user equipment (UE) may employ any of various mechanisms for reporting signal quality measurements to a wireless network. The UE may impose a time delay between measurement and reporting, based on a delay parameter K. The UE may average measurements obtained at different measurement instances. The UE may employ any of various schemes for prioritizing transmission of one type of report over another, when temporal collisions occur between different types of report. The UE may employ a differential report that includes a state for indicating that a beam is not workable. The UE may employ a beam index that includes a state for indicating an invalid beam. A base station may receive a signal quality report and determine workability of a beam, e.g., by triggering a report of channel state information.

  • Patent number: 11777673
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) communicates with transmission-reception points (TRPs). When the UE generates uplink control information (UCI), it determines a higher layer index (HLI) value to target the UCI to the appropriate TRP. (Possible values of the HLI are associated with the TRPs.) For UCI on Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), the HLI value may be determined: based on an HLI value configured for a control resource set (CORESET), or for particular Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resources; based on UCI type or spatial relation data or an index related to PUCCH resources. For UCI on a configured-grant Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), the HLI value may be based on higher layer signals or an indicator relating to channel sounding on spatial relation data. For UCI on MsgA PUSCH in a two-step random access procedure, the HLI value may be based on PUSCH resource unit or PUSCH opportunity.

  • Patent number: 11778638
Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capable wireless device configured to perform sidelink cellular communications. The wireless device performs sidelink communications using a two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) protocol including Stage 1 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH), and Stage 2 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The SCI messaging may be encoded using polar codes. Channel interleaving is utilized on the SCI to interleave the SCI between two or more layers of a MIMO transmission system. Scrambling for Stage 2 SCI messaging is performed based on the result of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) performed on Stage 1 SCI messaging. Collisions between sidelink HARQ feedback to be transmitted to a base station and other transmissions are avoided based on a priority analysis of the sidelink HARQ feedback.
