Abstract: Systems and methods are described to generate for presentation recommended social media posts for a user. The recommended social media posts may be generated based on one or more identified content categories of a first social media post by a first user and one or more parsed social media posts by one or more other users, where the one or more social media posts are associated with the first social media post. In response to determining that selection of the recommended social media post has been received, a second social media post associated with the first social media post may be generated, where the second social media post corresponds to the recommended social media.

A translation application running on a device receives a content item comprising a video and an audio, wherein the audio comprises a first plurality of spoken words in a first language. The video comprises a character speaking the first plurality of spoken words in the first language. The translation application translates the first plurality of spoken words of the first language into a first sign of a first sign language. The translation application determines an emotional state expressed by the character based on sentiment analysis. The translation application generates an avatar that speaks the first sign of the first sign language where the avatar exhibits the determined emotional state. The content item and the avatar are presented for display on the device.

Abstract: A server causes a social media application to be implemented on a client device. The social media application is configured to receive a request from a first user to restrict a plurality of users from identifying the first user in the digital media. The social media application requests the server to scan a plurality of digital media items uploaded to the server to identify a set of digital media items featuring the first user. The server identifies a set of digital media items related to the first user and modifies a portion of the identified set of digital media items to obfuscate the identity of the first user prior to transmitting the identified set of digital media items to a plurality of client devices having the social media application installed thereon.
