    Abstract: An infrared Raman microscope capable of switching to and performing infrared spectroscopic analysis or Raman spectroscopic analysis for a sample on a stage includes an infrared light detection system, a Raman light detection system, a display unit, a display switching processing unit, and storage processing units. The infrared light detection system and the Raman light detection system photographs a visible image at different magnifications. The display unit displays the visible image of the sample in a display area in association with coordinates on the stage. The display switching processing unit switches and displays the visible image in the same image display area. In a case where a measurement position of the infrared spectroscopic analysis or the Raman spectroscopic analysis is designated on the display area, the storage processing units store a point of coordinates on the stage corresponding to the measurement position.

    Abstract: The present invention is a cell observation device in which two-dimensional distributions of phase information and intensity information are computed based on hologram data obtained with a holographic microscope. An image display screen (100) displayed on a display unit includes an image display area (120) having two image display frames (121, 122). A phase image and intensity image corresponding to the same observation range on a cell culture plate (12), on which the cells to be observed are cultured, are displayed in the image display frames (121, 122), respectively. The wells on the plate, which are almost invisible on the phase image, are clearly visible on the intensity image. Conversely, the biological cells, which are almost invisible on the intensity image, are observable on the phase image. An observer specifies the range to be observed within a well on the intensity image, and subsequently enlarges the image corresponding to that range so as to observe the cells in detail on the phase image.

    Abstract: A display image formation unit reads image data according to a designated condition from an image data storage unit to form a phase image, a drawing color setting unit colorizes a phase image according to a color scale in which a phase value in the vicinity of 0 is associated with black, a phase value in a positive direction is associated with a predetermined color other than black, and a phase value in a negative direction is associated with another color other than black. In an area where no cell exists on a medium, the phase value becomes almost 0, so that the background area of the cell on the colorized phase image becomes almost black and the cell is depicted in a color other than black.
