  • Patent number: 6873806
Abstract: An image forming system which can ensure high operability according to an operator is provided. A control unit 950 of a digital copying machine 1A changes an image which is displayed on a touch panel 248 according to an ID specified by an IC card, a fingerprint of an operator, or input from the touch panel 248 corresponding to each operator in accordance with operator information stored in a hard disk 961. The control unit 950 raises contrast of the image by changing the tone when an operator is the aged, makes an image to be displayed recognizable by changing the color when an operator the colorblind, indicates an image by enlarged characters when an operator is the poor sighted or a person with trembling fingers, changes languages according to an operator, and adjusts height of the touch panel 248 according to height of an operator.

  • Patent number: 6814350
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a main body having a sheet ejecting section, a placing tray formed on an upper portion of the main body to receive a sheet ejected from the main body, an image reading device for reading an image disposed above the sheet ejecting section, and a sheet post-processing unit disposed between the image reading device and the placing tray. The post-processing unit includes a supporting device capable of moving between a support position for supporting an upstream side of an ejected sheet in a transfer direction and a retreat position for allowing the sheet to drop onto the placing tray, a post-processing device disposed at a side adjacent to the supporting means for applying post-processing to the sheet supported on the supporting means, and a sheet shift device laterally moving the sheet into and from the post-processing device.

  • Patent number: 6592113
Abstract: A sheet post-processing apparatus is connected to or assembled in an image forming device such as a copying machine to automatically bind recorded or copied sheets successively given from the image forming device with one or more staples upon collating, aligning and binding or punching the given sheets in the proper order of page. The finished sheets bound are finally discharged perpendicularly to a reference transferring direction in which the recorded sheet is first sent out from the image forming device so as to be discharged to a discharge unit near an operation place defined in front of the image forming device, thus to allow an operator to easily take out the bound sheets from the sheet discharge unit without moving too much.
