  • Publication number: 20250116712
Abstract: In a battery abnormality detection system, a data acquirer acquires voltage data and current data of each cell of a battery pack having a plurality of cells connected in series or of each parallel cell block of a battery pack having serially connected parallel cell blocks having a plurality of cells connected in parallel. The abnormality detector detects a cell or parallel cell block in an abnormal state on the basis of a relative voltage change amount among the plurality of cells or among the plurality of parallel cell blocks in a constant voltage charging period.

  • Patent number: 12261271
Abstract: In a management device that manages a power storage module in which a plurality of cell blocks in which a plurality of cells are connected in parallel are connected in series, a voltage detector detects a voltage of each of the plurality of cell blocks connected in series. The controller calculates a change value of a voltage of each of the plurality of cell blocks for a certain period of time, integrates absolute values of calculated voltage change values for each of the cell blocks, and determines presence or absence of a cell block including a separated cell that is electrically separated based on an integration value of voltage changes for each of the plurality of cell blocks.

  • Publication number: 20250052823
Abstract: In a battery abnormality detection system, a data acquirer acquires a current flowing through a battery and a temperature of the battery. A determiner determines presence or absence of abnormal heat generation of the battery based on a relation between an amount of the current flowing through the battery in a certain period and a temperature rise of the battery in the certain period. The determiner determines the presence or absence of the abnormal heat generation of the battery based on the current and the temperature of the battery in a charging period in which the temperature of the battery exceeds a set temperature.

  • Publication number: 20250020731
Abstract: A battery abnormality detection system includes the following constituents. A battery data acquisition unit acquires voltages of one of a plurality of cells and a plurality of parallel cell blocks in a battery pack and temperatures at a plurality of observation points respectively measured by a plurality of temperature sensors provided in the battery pack. A determination unit determines presence or absence of an abnormality in one of a specific cell and a specific parallel cell block, based on a transition of a voltage of the one of the specific cell and the specific parallel cell block in a predetermined period in the battery pack and on a difference between a temperature change at a first observation point and a temperature change at a second observation point in the predetermined period in the battery pack.

  • Patent number: 12176737
Abstract: An acquisition unit of management unit acquires monitoring data including at least one of voltage and state of charge of a plurality of power storage packs connected in parallel. A switch controller can individually control on/off of a plurality of switches based on a voltage difference between the plurality of power storage packs or an SOC difference between the plurality of power storage packs. When calculating the entire capacity of the plurality of power storage packs, a capacity calculator also adds the capacity of power storage pack connected to a switch in an off state in a case where the switch can be controlled to an on state in future.

  • Patent number: 11949257
Abstract: A controller executes an equalization process of equalizing capacities of a plurality of cells, and a cell abnormality determination process of, of detected voltages of the plurality of cells, calculating a voltage difference between a representative voltage based on the detected voltage of at least one cell to be compared and the detected voltage of one cell to be detected at a first time and a second time, and when a difference between the two voltage differences is greater than or equal to a threshold value, determining that the cell to be detected is abnormal. In the case of executing the cell abnormality determination process during the equalization process, the controller provides the detected voltage of a target cell to be subjected to the equalization process with a compensation value corresponding to a voltage change based on energy transfer in the target cell due to the equalization process between the first time and the second time, and calculates the voltage difference at the second time.

  • Publication number: 20240083283
Abstract: In a battery abnormality prediction system, an acquisition unit acquires a current flowing through a battery and a temperature of the battery. A prediction unit predicts the occurrence of an abnormality in the battery, based on a relationship between the amount of the current flowing through the battery for a certain period of time and a rise in the temperature of the battery for the certain period of time. The prediction unit may compare the ratio of an integrated amount of current to the temperature rise for the certain period of time with a threshold determined based on data on the battery having caught fire and thereby predict a sign of fire to be caught by the battery.
