Abstract: A network test method includes acquiring information of a type of each of a plurality of terminals and a coupling relationship of the plurality of terminals in a network, creating a test item of a communication test and a network path which becomes the target of the test, acquiring setting information including a switching time period of a terminal or terminals related to a redundant configuration, predicting a result of a communication test, requesting the result which carried out in the network, evaluating communication in the network by performing comparison between a result of the prediction and the test result which carried out in the network.

Abstract: A computer is coupled to at least one E/D storage (a storage system provided with an encryption/decryption function). A computer determines whether or not a security policy related to a copy destination VOL is equal to a security policy related to a copy source VOL based on the control information that includes information associated with a security policy related to a copy source VOL and a copy destination VOL. In the case in which a result of the determination is positive, the computer specifies an encryption key/decryption key related to a copy source VOL as an encryption key/decryption key related to a copy destination VOL to an E/D storage provided with a copy destination VOL (a copy destination storage). The computer then indicates a read and an undecryption of data that has been stored into a copy source VOL to an E/D storage provided with a copy source VOL, and indicates a write and an unencryption of the read data to a copy destination storage.

Abstract: A control system for a plurality of storage systems has at least one path that is selected from a plurality of paths where one of three or more storage systems is a start point storage system and another one thereof is an end point storage system. According to the selected path, the external connection processing for writing data to an external volume which corresponds to a virtual volume, and/or the remote copy processing for writing data to be written in a copy source volume to a copy destination volume, is/are executed at least once. By this, the data received by the start point storage system is written to the logical volume in the end point storage system.

Abstract: A novel storage control technology using a common aspect of the external connection and the remote copy is provided. At least one path is selected from a plurality of paths where one of three or more storage systems is a start point storage system and another one thereof is an end point storage system.
