Patent number: 12104893Abstract: A three-dimensional measurement device measures the three-dimensional shape of an object or information indicating a shape thereof based on event data. A stripe pattern is projected from the projection unit to the object. The object is optically imaged by an imaging unit and an image based on event data is acquired. The event data, which are outputted from the image sensor, include two-dimensional point data that specifies the positions of pixels corresponding to the pixels that had luminance changes responsively to the stripe pattern projected. Based on the event data, an image of the object is obtained. The image sensor outputs positive luminance change event data when brightening luminance changes and negative luminance change event data when darkening luminance changes. The measurement unit obtains luminance information based on a time difference between output of event data of positive luminance changes and output of event data of negative luminance changes.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 1, 2024Assignee: DENSO WAVE INCORPORATEDInventor: Yusuke Mitani

Publication number: 20240310165Abstract: A projection unit projects predetermined stripe pattern to measurement object so that emission start timing differs for each stripe number. Imaging unit is equipped with imaging device that outputs event data including two-dimensional point data in which position of pixel is specified corresponding to pixel whose brightness has changed when received. An imaged image is generated from event data output from imaging device. The imaging device outputs event data of positive brightness change in case of the brightness change to brighten and event data of negative brightness change in a case of brightness change to darken. The measuring unit obtains stripe pattern information based on time difference between output of event data of the positive brightness change and output of the event data of the negative brightness change on pixel-by-pixel basis in captured image and stripe number specified from output timing of the first event data constituting this time difference.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2022Publication date: September 19, 2024Applicant: DENSO WAVE INCORPORATEDInventor: Yusuke MITANI

Publication number: 20240272570Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, a transfer member, a cleaning member, and a control unit. The transfer member contacts the image bearer to form a transfer nip and transfer a toner image on the image bearer to a recording medium at the transfer nip. The cleaning member cleans a surface of the image bearer. The control unit executes a cleaning operation of moving an extraneous matter adhering to the transfer member to the image bearer to clean the transfer member. The control unit executes the cleaning operation after a toner image pattern that is not transferred to the recording medium passes through the transfer nip and before the recording medium enters the transfer nip.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2022Publication date: August 15, 2024Applicant: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventors: Shotaro HOSHI, Yusuke MITANI

Patent number: 11812145Abstract: An imaging device in which an autofocus function can be performed without using brightness information is provided. In an imaging device according to one aspect, a density of points obtained by plotting two-dimensional point data of a plurality of event data as points on a plane, the event data outputted from an imaging element in a predetermined period in a state in which a focal point of a light receiving lens is adjusted by an adjustment mechanism, is calculated as a point density. When the point density is calculated, a control unit drives and controls the adjustment mechanism based on comparison results between the point density currently calculated and the point density last calculated to thereby adjust the focal point toward the in-focus position. In another aspect, an imaging device having an autofocus function can be provided without using event data.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: DENSO WAVE INCORPORATEDInventor: Yusuke Mitani
