  • Patent number: 9682420
Abstract: A forging die device is provided with an upper die 10 and a lower die 20. At least one die 10 (20) of the upper die 10 and the lower die 20 has a die holder 12 (22) which surrounds the outer periphery of the die 10 (20) and holds the die 10 (20). The die holder 12 (22) is configured to bear the radial tensile stress (tensile force) received by the die 10 (20) during forging. By this means, the die 10 (20) can be miniaturized.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 27, 2013
Date of Patent: June 20, 2017
    Assignee: Kobe Steel, Ltd.
Inventors: Takashi Choda, Yukihide Honda, Shigeomi Araki, Shogo Murakami, Soichiro Kojima, Yusuke Momota
  • Patent number: 9623476
Abstract: A forging die device is configured in such a manner that die heating heater plates 11, 21 are disposed respectively between a die 1 which is held at the outer periphery by die holders 12, 22, and die holding means 14a, 24a composed of heat insulating plates 13, 23 and die plates 14, 24, and the die holders, the die holding means and the die plates are integrated together. After the preheated die 1 is placed on the heated die holding means, the die 1 is heated by heating means, and forming surfaces 10a, 20a of the die are heated to a required temperature immediately before forging.
