  • Publication number: 20070280539
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interpolation method and a filtering method which utilize a correlation between pixel signals, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a sharp and high-quality image even if an error occurs in correlation degree judgment. To accomplish the above-mentioned object, an imaging device 10 is of a single-chip type, and includes a RGB Bayer pattern color filter 11, and an image is processed in a manner to be described below. Pixel signals outputted from the imaging device 10 are inputted through a signal processing part 20 to an image processing part 30. A correlation judgment part 31 judges a correlation between the pixel signals, and an interpolation processing part 32 performs a pixel interpolation process based on a correlation result. Thus, each pixel signal becomes a perfect signal having all R, G and B color components.

  • Publication number: 20070147706
Abstract: A similar-image detecting part detects similar image regions similar to one another in a plurality of frame images captured by rolling shutter type exposure. A displacement-vector detecting part detects a displacement vector of each of the similar image regions with respect to a reference position in each of the plurality of frame images. An average calculating part calculates an average of displacement vectors in the plurality of frame images. A correcting part shifts a similar image region in one of the plurality of frame images such that the displacement vector of the similar image region becomes the average calculated by the average calculating part.

  • Publication number: 20070120997
Abstract: A motion detecting part detects moving regions in a plurality of frame images captured by rolling shutter type exposure, and obtains a motion vector of the moving regions. A moving region correcting part corrects the moving region in a to-be-corrected frame image of the plurality of frame images on the basis of the motion vector, information on an image-capturing time interval between the plurality of frame images, information on an exposure starting time difference resulting from the difference in position in one frame image caused by the rolling shutter type exposure and information on an exposure start sequence depending on the position in one frame image captured by the rolling shutter type exposure.

  • Publication number: 20060228034
Abstract: A digital diaphragm system is provided which is capable of realizing a focusing effect without using a diaphragm mechanism while greatly reducing the amount of data processing and shortening the processing time. With regions of interest set in an image a digital diaphragm effect is applied to the image by compressing the image such that the regions of interest in the image are assigned relatively larger amounts of code and are relatively in focus, such that a region of no-interest in the image is assigned a relatively smaller amount of code and is relatively out of focus, and such that lower-priority ones of the regions of interest are assigned relatively smaller amounts of code and relatively more out-of-focus.

  • Publication number: 20060222255
Abstract: An image enhancement device is obtained which is capable of extracting, as regions of interest, still objects or objects with smaller motion vectors, or regions located out of the central area of an image. An image processing module (22) applies memorized-color correction to image data, and then stores, in an SDRAM (7) through a memory interface (26), information about the positions of the memorized-color-corrected pixels and information about the application levels (correction levels) applied to the memorized-color-corrected pixels. A mask signal generating module (23) refers to the positional information stored in the SDRAM (7) to extract the memorized-color-corrected regions of the image data as regions of interest.

  • Publication number: 20050094008
Abstract: RGB image data outputted from an ADC (3) is processed in an SPU (42) and an RPU (43) and then buffered into a memory (48) as YUV image data. The YUV image data is outputted from a YUV output unit (45), encoded by an image compression and expansion chip (5A) and transmitted to a main chip (4) by a DMAC (52). On the other hand, compressed moving image data stored in the memory (48) is transmitted to the image compression and expansion chip (5A) through the control by a DMAC (44), decoded therein, then converted into RGB image data in an RGB sampling unit (54) and inputted to the main chip (4) by the SPU (42) through a data line (14). With such a construction, it is possible to provide a circuit for compression and expansion, which allows connection with a main processing chip having no YUV input circuit without increasing circuit scale, maintaining general versatility of those circuits.
