  • Patent number: 8966225
Abstract: A management unit causes a plurality of processing units to execute a calculation process. A determining unit determines whether a communication time for a communication process of exchanging a calculation result obtained from the calculation process is longer than a calculation time for the calculation process, the communication process being executed between a first computational node including the processor and a second computational node being a different computational node from the first computational node. A control unit limits number of processing units when the determining unit has determined that the communication time is longer than the calculation time.

  • Patent number: 8414984
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a powder for a magnetic core including at least a process of performing a siliconizing treatment on a surface of an iron powder containing elemental carbon. In the process of siliconizing treatment, a powder containing at least a silicon dioxide is brought into contact with the surface of the iron powder, elemental silicon is detached from the silicon dioxide by heating the powder of silicon dioxide, and the siliconizing treatment is performed by causing the detached elemental silicon to permeate and diffuse into a surface layer of the iron powder. The invention provides a method for manufacturing a powder for a magnetic core, by which loss reduction is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20120012777
Abstract: A powder for dust core including a soft magnetic metal powder and a silicon impregnated layer made of silicon concentrated in a surface layer of the soft magnetic metal powder, in which a silicon dioxide powder is diffusion-bonded to a surface of the silicon impregnated layer to form a diffusion-bonded part while a part of the silicon dioxide powder is impregnated and diffused in the silicon impregnated layer and the other part of the same protrudes from the surface of the silicon impregnated layer. The diffusion-bonded part creates a gap with respect to another powder for dust core, thereby providing increased specific resistance.
