    Abstract: In a vehicle wheel of the present invention, a sub-air chamber member functioning as a Helmholtz resonator includes a main body section forming a sub-air chamber in a space surrounded by a bottom plate adjoined to the outer circumferential surface of a well section and extending in a wheel width direction, an upper plate opposed to the bottom plate at a predetermined interval on an outer side in a wheel radial direction of the bottom plate, and a pair of side plates standing outward in the wheel radial direction from both ends in the wheel width direction of the bottom plate, and a pair of edge sections which extend outward in the wheel width direction from respective joining sections of the bottom plate and the pair of side plates, and which are locked to the well section.

    Abstract: Provided is a vehicle wheel with a sub-air chamber member as a Helmholtz resonator attached to a rim. The sub-air chamber member includes a main body having a sub-air chamber therein, a tubular body providing communication between the sub-air chamber and a tire air chamber, and a cover member covering the main body. The main body is disposed on a rim inner circumferential surface portion of the rim present on an inner side of the rim in a wheel radial direction and extending in a wheel width direction. The tubular body is disposed in a through-hole provided in the rim so as to provide communication between the inner side of the rim in the wheel radial direction and the tire air chamber side. The cover member covers the main body from an inner side in the wheel radial direction.

    Abstract: A first material layer, a second material layer, and a photoresist layer may be formed over a substrate. The second material layer may be patterned by transfer of a lithographic pattern therethrough. A conformal spacer layer may be formed over the patterned second material layer in a chamber enclosure of an in-situ deposition-etch apparatus. Spacer films may be formed by anisotropically etching the conformal spacer layer in the chamber enclosure of the in-situ deposition-etch apparatus. The first material layer may be anisotropically etched using a combination of the patterned second material layer and the spacer films as an etch mask in the in-situ deposition-etch apparatus. A high fidelity pattern may be transferred into the first material layer with reduced line edge roughness, reduced line width roughness, and without enlargement of lateral dimensions of openings in the first material layer.
