  • Publication number: 20220026648
Abstract: The coupling loss of optical power on a reception side due to an axis deviation on a transmission side is satisfactorily mitigated. A connector body including a first lens and a second lens is provided. The first lens converges light emitted from a light-emitting body. The second lens shapes and emits the light converged by the first lens. For example, the second lens shapes light emitted from the first lens into collimated light. The focal distance of the second lens can be increased while increase in the distance from the light-emitting body to the second lens is inhibited and the diameter of light from the light-emitting body is restricted so as to be within the diameter of the second lens. The coupling loss of optical power on the reception side due to the axis deviation on the transmission side can be mitigated.

  • Publication number: 20210286139
Abstract: [Object] To provide an optical coupling device that efficiently receives an optical signal from an optical fiber and has improved communication quality, and an optical communication system using the same. [Solving Means] An optical coupling device according to the present technology includes a light receiving and emitting device and an optical device. The light receiving and emitting device includes a light emitter that emits outgoing light, and a light receiver that receives incident light from outside. The light receiver has a light passing part through which the outgoing light passes. The light passing part is arranged on an optical axis of the incident light. The optical device causes incident light around the optical axis of the incident light to be refracted so as to be apart from the optical axis and to enter the light receiver.

  • Publication number: 20210156965
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a ranging device and a ranging module that allow a light emitting element and a light receiving element to be integrated with a simple structure. A light emitting substrate having a light emitting element is connected to a circuit substrate through first bumps, and a light receiving substrate having a single light emitting element or light emitting elements that are two-dimensionally disposed is connected to the circuit substrate through second bumps. The optical axis of a lens, the optical axis of the light emitting element, and the center axis of the light receiving element are disposed on substantially the same axis. The present technique can be applied to a ranging device that carries out ranging, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20200183183
Abstract: An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an emitter, an image-forming element, a first reflector element, and a second image-forming element. The emitter emits an image light beam. The image-forming element forms an image of the entering image light beam as a mid-air image. The first reflector element includes a first surface and a second surface and that causes at least part of the image light beam, which is emitted from the emitter and enters the first surface, to pass therethrough and reflects at least part of the image light beam, which enters the second surface, to the image-forming element. The second reflector element reflects at least part of the image light beam, which enters the first surface and passes through the first reflector element, to the second surface of the first reflector element.

  • Publication number: 20190391313
Abstract: An image display device according to an embodiment of the present technology include an emission portion, an irradiation target, and an optical portion. The emission portion emits image light along a predetermined axis. The irradiation target is disposed at at least a part around the predetermined axis. The optical portion controls an incident angle of the image light on the irradiation target, the image light having been emitted from the emission portion, the optical portion being disposed in a manner that the optical portion faces the emission portion on the basis of the predetermined axis.
