Abstract: A vehicle traveling control apparatus comprises a driving support ECU. The driving support ECU determines whether or not a driver of a vehicle is under an abnormal state where the driver losses an ability to drive the vehicle. The driving support ECU executes a deceleration control to decelerate the vehicle after an abnormal determination time point at which it is determined that the driver is under the abnormal state. The driving support ECU decelerates a vehicle speed of the vehicle to within a predetermined low vehicle speed range and thereafter, causes the vehicle to travel at a speed within the low vehicle speed range.
