  • Publication number: 20220204733
Abstract: A flame-retardant resin composition includes a base resin, a silicone compound in an amount of 1 to 12 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, a fatty acid-containing compound in an amount of 1 to 10 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, and a filler in an amount of 10 to 80 parts by mass to 100 parts by mass of the base resin. The base resin includes 10 to 90 mass % of a low-density polyethylene, 10 to 90 mass % of a low-density polyethylene-based thermoplastic elastomer, and 0 to 80 mass % of a modified polyethylene. The filler is composed of at least one selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate and a silicate compound.

  • Patent number: 11028257
Abstract: A flame-retardant resin composition may include a base resin composed of polyethylene and an acid-modified polyolefin, a silicone compound, a fatty acid-containing compound, and a hindered amine-based compound that includes a hindered amine structure. The polyethylene may include a high-density polyethylene, a medium-density polyethylene and a low-density polyethylene, where the high-density polyethylene has a density of 945 kg/m3 or more, the medium-density polyethylene has a density of 914 kg/m3 or more and less than 945 kg/m3, and the low-density polyethylene has a density of 864 kg/m3 or more and less than 914 kg/m3. The base resin may contain the high-density polyethylene in an amount of 40 mass % or more and 60 mass % or less, the medium-density polyethylene in an amount of 1 mass % or more and 35 mass % or less, and the low-density polyethylene in an amount of 10 mass % or more and 30 mass % or less.

  • Publication number: 20210061985
Abstract: Provided is a flame retardant resin composition that includes a base resin, a filler blended in a ratio of 5 parts by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, a silicone compound blended in a ratio of 0.5 part by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, and a fatty acid-containing compound blended in a ratio of 3 parts by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin. The filler may have a silane coupling agent having a polar group adhered to at least a part of a surface of a silicate compound. Further provided are an insulated wire, a cable, and an optical fiber cable that includes in part the flame retardant resin composition.
