  • Publication number: 20220173444
Abstract: In impact detection device to be mounted on power storage pack, an impact detection circuit compares detection values of three axes output from a three-axis accelerometer sensor with thresholds set to different values according to mechanical characteristics of power storage pack, and detects an impact outside an allowable range. For example, power storage pack includes wound cylindrical cells, and a threshold of an axis in a direction along a winding axis may be set to a value smaller in absolute value than thresholds of other two axes.

  • Patent number: 11258113
Abstract: A cell voltage measurement unit measures a voltage of each of a plurality of cells that are series-connected. A total voltage measurement unit measures a total voltage of the plurality of cells. A controller manages an internal impedance of each of the plurality of cells. The controller detects a ripple of the total voltage measured by the total voltage measurement unit, estimates a ripple of each cell voltage by multiplying the detected ripple of the total voltage by a ratio of the internal impedance of each cell to a resultant internal impedance of the plurality of cells, and determines whether the ripple of each cell voltage is within an allowable voltage range.

  • Patent number: 11050293
Abstract: A plurality of controlling circuits control a plurality of respective shutdown switches to turn ON/OFF. A first signal system transmits, in a direction from one end of the plurality of controlling circuits to the other end of the plurality of controlling circuits, a significant signal during a normal operation and a non-significant signal when the operation needs to be stopped. The second signal system transmits, in a direction from the other end of the plurality of controlling circuits to the one end of the plurality of controlling circuits, a significant signal during the normal operation and a non-significant signal when the operation needs to be stopped. The other end of the plurality of controlling circuits transmits the non-significant signal through second signal system when a signal received through first signal system is the non-significant signal.

  • Patent number: 10371756
Abstract: An abnormality notification switch is switched on when a power storage module is abnormal but is switched off when the power storage module is normal. A first detection element outputs a signal indicating an abnormality of the power storage module when detecting that an electric current flows along an electric current line. A second detection element is inserted into an electric current line between a node and a second high-side reference potential that has a higher potential than a potential of a first high-side reference potential. The second detection element outputs a signal indicating an occurrence of a disconnection when detecting that no electric current flows along this electric current line. A retaining circuit retains a potential at the node higher than the first high-side reference potential and lower than the second high-side reference potential.
