    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a steel sheet using a detergent for a steel sheet having a good washing property for the oil stain even at a low temperature. The method of manufacturing of the present invention is a method of manufacturing a steel sheet, comprising: a washing step of soaking a steel sheet to which a stain is stuck in a detergent for a steel sheet for washing and a rinsing step of rinsing with water the steel sheet that is soaked and washed after the washing step, wherein the detergent for a steel sheet comprises: an alkali agent, one or more organic acid(s) or salt(s) selected from lactic acid, oxalic acid, citric acid, and salts of these, a nonionic surfactant represented by the general formula (1), one or more chelating agent(s) selected from gluconic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and salts of these, and water.
