  • Publication number: 20040027082
Abstract: According to a bolt tightening method and a bolt tightening apparatus of the invention, a bolt is tightened by using a bolt tightening device, in which torque gradients expressed in terms of the ratio of a tightening torque exerted on the bolt to its turning angle are calculated by successively detecting the tightening torque at intervals of a specific bolt turning angle and calculating an average of individual torque gradient values by first and second torque gradient calculators, and the amount of tightening of the bolt is controlled by a tightening amount controller based on the average of the individual torque gradient values calculated.

  • Publication number: 20010038869
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing fruit vinegar, comprising subjecting a flavorful acid citrus fruit juice with an inherently low citric acid content and/or a flavorful acid citrus fruit juice with a reduced citric acid content by acid reduction treatment as a raw material, after alcohol is given thereto by alcohol fermentation and/or addition of alcohol, to acetic acid fermentation; although acetic acid fermentation using a flavorful acid citrus fruit juice with a high citric acid content has been hitherto unsuccessful, the reduction treatment of citric acid content in the present invention has realized an efficient production of fruit vinegar with good body, savory taste and mild sourness that has not been hitherto produced.

  • Patent number: 5776292
Abstract: A plywood layup system for assembling veneer plies includes a carousel feeder that supplies core veneer plies to an accumulator gate system. The accumulator gate system accumulates one or several plies into a predetermined ply assembly pattern before releasing the accumulated plies. A glue application system is controlled to apply glue to either or both sides of a core veneer ply to allow many different assemblies to be made. The accumulated plies can be dropped aligned with and synchronized with a ply or assembly of plies, to form a complex assembly. The accumulator gate system can be arranged above a conveyor carrying passing plies or partial assemblies from other veneer supplying devices. Two carousels and accumulator gate systems can be arranged in tandem to provide more complex patterns of assembly.

  • Patent number: 5609743
Abstract: An electrophoresis fractionator comprises a multiplicity of separate cells (10, 11) provided on respective contact surfaces of two members (1, 2) which are in contact with each other movably relative to each other and move relative to each other to enable alternate switching between a position where the multiplicity of cells (10, 11) are connected to a single electrophoresis passage P together and a position where the multiplicity of cells (10, 11) are separated from one another, and electrodes (14, 15) provided on both respective ends of the electrophoresis passage P which is formed to be single.

  • Patent number: 5315295
Abstract: A vehicle speed control system for a vehicle is used, with a vehicle navigation system, for indicating a location of the vehicle on a road map as the vehicle travels and for providing information related to the road, including curves of the road. The vehicle speed control system receives information related to curves of a road on which the vehicle travels, such as the radius of curvature, when the vehicle navigation system indicates that the vehicle location is before the curve. The system calculates a limit vehicle speed, at which the vehicle can negotiate and pass safely through the curve, based on the vehicle speed and the radius of curvature of the curve. When the vehicle speed is higher than the limit vehicle speed, the vehicle speed control system provides a warning and/or automatically brakes the vehicle, or automatically closes a throttle of the vehicle, so as to lower cause the vehicle speed to fall below the limit vehicle speed.

  • Patent number: 5113756
Abstract: A press machine comprising: a slider which reciprocates between its top dead point position and bottom dead point position; a stationary bolster; a position adjusting mechanism for adjusting an up-and-down relative position between the slider and the bolster; a bottom dead point position detecting mechanism for detecting a position of the slider held in the bottom dead point position; a moving body on which the bottom dead point position detecting mechanism is supported and which is movable in the directions in which the slider reciprocates; and a follow-up mechanism connected to the position adjusting mechanism so that the moving body can follow up a position adjustment movement of the slider, the bottom dead point position detecting mechanism being moved so that it can follow up the position adjustment movement of the slider.

  • Patent number: 5003126
Abstract: A shielded flat transmission cable for use in wiring electronic appliances having consistent low resistance and a high shielding effect. The cable comprises a plurality of insulated parallel conductors including a grounding conductor and signal transmitting conductors. The conductors and insulating layer are surrounded by a thin metal shielding material. An insulating film surrounds the outer surface of the shielding material. The shielding material is directly and metallically connected to the grounding conductor providing a good electrical contact between the shielding material and the grounding conductor. The connecting means employed can be a spot weld or any other equivalent means directly connecting said grounding conductor and said shielding material. In a first embodiment of the invention the insulation layer, shielding material, and insulating film are formed through lamination. In a second embodiment of the invention they are formed through winding.

  • Patent number: 4895361
Abstract: A sheet-fed press includes a front guide device which performs a positional adjustment of a printing sheet before transferring it to a transfer drum. In order to adjust an image forming portion on the printing sheet, both ends of a front guide rod are moved independently of each other. Moving distances of the both ends of the rod are computed by a central processing unit on the basis of a paper size, etc.

  • Patent number: 4598638
Abstract: A lateral perforation vertical registration device for an offset press in which the position of lateral perforations formed on printing sheets can be accurately set without the need for running a number of test sheets. A lateral perforating position reading plate is provided made of a transparent material and having both lateral and vertical scales. A printing sheet is placed on the perforating position reading plate prior to printing to determine the position of lateral perforating. A vertical scale provided on the outer peripheral surface of a numbering device mounting cylinder is then adjusted relative to a fixed pointer to correspond to the value read on the reading plate.
