  • Patent number: 8414515
Abstract: A conduit tube (90) that communicates with an intracardiac blood inflow port (50) and a liquid medicine injection port (72) and allows blood from the intracardiac blood inflow port and a liquid medicine from the liquid medicine injection port to flow into a cardiotomy section (2) is inserted from above downward in the cardiotomy section 2. A blood flow channel (93) for the flow of blood and a liquid medicine flow channel (95) for the flow of a liquid medicine are formed independently of each other in the conduit tube. With respect to the vertical direction, the lower end of a blood conduit tube portion (94) that forms the blood flow channel is located at a lower position than the lower end of a liquid medicine conduit tube portion (96) that forms the liquid medicine flow channel. This prevents the generation of negative pressure in the liquid medicine flow channel due to the flow of blood. It also reduces the resistance to the inflow of a liquid medicine into the cardiotomy section.

  • Patent number: 8162870
Abstract: A blood filter device has a housing that includes: a head portion (2) provided with a blood inlet (5) and forming an upper structure of the housing, a filtration portion (3) positioned below the head portion and forming a middle structure of the housing, and a bottom portion (4) disposed below the filtration portion and provided with a blood outlet (7); and a filter (8) mounted in a cavity of the filtration portion and partitioning a cavity of the housing into a head portion side and a bottom portion side. The filter is formed of a filter sheet folded to have a plurality of pleats, and disposed so that ridgelines of the plurality of pleats traverse respectively the cavity of the filtration portion in parallel. The bottom portion has a conical portion (4a) on the inner bottom face protruding downward to form a conical face.

  • Patent number: 8162152
Abstract: A blood filter device includes: a housing that includes a dome 2 provided with a blood inlet, a filter retaining portion 3 that is positioned below the dome, and a bottom portion 4 provided with a blood outlet; and a filter 8 that is mounted in a cavity of the filter retaining portion and partitions a cavity of the housing into a dome side and a bottom portion side. A sheet-like filter member 8a of the filter forms a plurality of pleats, and ridgelines of the respective pleats traverse the filter retaining portion in parallel respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110098626
Abstract: A cardiotomy section (2) includes a filter (10) and a defoamer (20) arranged inside the filter. A lower end (11a) of the filter is sealed or folded in an approximately straight line or in a curve, and the defoamer is annularly arranged along the inner peripheral surface of the filter, as viewed from above. A conduit tube (90) that introduces intracardiac blood is inserted from above downward in the cardiotomy section. A lower end of the conduit tube is located at the same level as or at a lower level than the lower end of the defoamer, with respect to the vertical direction. In a projection view of a lower end face of the defoamer with respect to a horizontal plane, (Ru2?2×Tu)/(Ru1?2×Tu)?0.24 is satisfied, where Ru1 is the outer dimension of the annularly arranged defoamer in a major axial direction, Ru2 is the outer dimension thereof in a minor axial direction, and Tu is the thickness of the defoamer. This achieves a blood reservoir equipped with a cardiotomy section having high defoaming performance.

  • Publication number: 20060284423
Abstract: To realize compact packing without causing a tube kink in an extracorporeal circulation circuit of especially a pre-connecting type which uses tubes and connectors. A connector includes a first fitting member and a second fitting member into which ends of tubes are to be fitted, and a connecting member sandwiched between and connected with the first and second fitting members. The connecting member is constricted in the middle, thereby forming a thin-walled part that has a smaller wall thickness than the other parts of the connecting member which are closer to the first and second fitting members. The thin-walled part is continuously formed around a circumference of the connecting member.
