  • Patent number: 11917236
Abstract: Information processing with flexibility in interpretation of a standard is disclosed. In one example, an output unit adds additional information related to the BB packet to output the BB packet to a baseband (BB) packet after an error correction decoding process. The additional information includes at least one of a delimiter, a precision time protocol (PTP), or BB packet information. The BB packet information includes at least one of information indicating whether or not reception of the BB packet is stable, information indicating whether or not there is an error in the BB packet, a packet length of the BB packet, a relative physical layer pipe (PLP) ID of the BB packet, or an absolute PLPID of the BB packet.

  • Patent number: 11381870
Abstract: Channel bonding is realized in a receiving apparatus that receives terrestrial digital broadcasting compliant with an ATSC 3.0 Standard. A receiving section selects any one of a plurality of frequency channels as a bonding source channel and receives a frame from the bonding source channel. A control section performs processing for obtaining one frequency channel in which packets are to be bonded with the bonding source channel among the plurality of frequency channel as a bonding destination channel on the basis of the frame and processing for controlling the receiving section to newly receive a frame from the bonding destination channel. A decoding section decodes the frame and acquires the packets. A bonding section bonds together the packets corresponding to the bonding source channel and the packets corresponding to the bonding destination channel.

  • Patent number: 11233686
Abstract: A reception apparatus that decodes a preamble reduces the size of a buffer that holds a decoding result. A holding unit holds a plurality of bits to each of which physical layer pipe identification information is assigned as a physical layer pipe presence/absence bit string. A reception unit receives a predetermined number of physical layer pipes that do not exceed the number of bits of the physical layer pipe presence/absence bit string and the physical layer pipe identification information of each of the predetermined number of physical layer pipes. A setting unit sets the value of the bit corresponding to the received physical layer pipe identification information of the physical layer pipe presence/absence bit string to one of two values, and sets the value of a non-corresponding bit to another of the two values. A decoding processing unit performs processing for decoding the physical layer pipe corresponding to the bit of the one value.

  • Patent number: 8751908
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a decoding device including: an extracting section, a storing section, an allocating section, and a decoding section. The extracting section acquires data containing plural code words and information other than the plural code words in one frame, and extracts the plural code words from the data every one code word. The storing section at least stores the one code word extracted by the extracting section. The allocating section sets time obtained by dividing time for the one frame by the number of code words contained in the one frame as time allocated to decoding of one code word. The decoding section decodes the code word within the time allocated by the allocating section.
