  • Publication number: 20120119940
Abstract: In a radar apparatus, a signal processor successively selects outputs of a plurality of receiving channels at time intervals and repeat, at a sampling cycle, a sequence of the successive selections of the outputs of the plurality of receiving channels, thus sampling values of a beat signal. The signal processor changes a value of the time interval for a current sequence of the successive selections of the outputs of the plurality of receiving channels so that the value of the time interval for the current sequence of the successive selections of the outputs of the plurality of receiving channels is different from a value of the time interval for a previous sequence of the successive selections of the outputs of the plurality of receiving channels.

  • Patent number: 5189618
Abstract: An automotive cruise control system equipped with an actuator to regulate the state of an automobile in accordance with a control signal indicative of an actuator control amount so that the vehicle maintains a target speed, the actuator control amount being determined on the basis of the speed of the vehicle and the operation state of the actuator. The automotive cruise control system is arranged so as to divide the vehicle into first and second systems: the first system on-line-identifies a model corresponding to the state of the vehicle; the second system on-line-identifies a model corresponding to the actuator used in the vehicle. The actuator control amount is calculated on the basis of the first and second system models to produce the actuator control signal in correspondence with these models.

  • Patent number: 5155682
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling speed of a vehicle to consist with a target speed in cruising mode, the vehicle having power transmission for selecting a gear ratio from plural predetermined gear ratios comprising: detector means for detecting the speed; and controller: for producing a first control signal for effecting downshifting to high when the speed decreases under the target speed; for detecting increase rate of the speed in response to the first control signal; and for producing a second control signal for effecting upshifting in response to said first control signal with delay determined by the increase rate. A negative pressure pump may be further provided for driving a negative pressure actuator controlling a throttle valve, the pump is turned on when the speed decreases under a given value before detection of lack of negative pressure downstream from a throttle valve, for driving negative pressure actuator controlling the throttle valve.

  • Patent number: 4658150
Abstract: Apparatus for effecting the impedance discrimination for use in an automobile comprises a plurality of switches (11-14) mounted on a steering wheel, and a plurality of first impedance elements (15-17) for providing a different impedance in response to the operation of each switch. A second impedance element (131) is coupled through a common slip-ring connection (8, 9) to the first impedance elements for feeding a current from a battery (1) to the first impedance elements (15-17) to generate a potential corresponding to the operation of one of the switches. A transistor (133) provides a horn activating signal when the potential reaches a predetermined value. A resistance network (141-144; 141-142, 150-154) derives a first value corresponding to the first potential and a second value corresponding to the battery potential.

  • Patent number: 4583171
Abstract: In an automatic transmission control device, an electric selector includes a circular common switch, a P range switch, a R range switch, a N range switch and a D range switch. A range shifting is instructed by the electric selector. When the common switch and one of the range switches are both operated in a predetermined manner, an instruction signal is delivered from the electric selector to a microcomputer. The microcomputer discriminates whether the instruction is proper or not. When the instruction is not proper, the microcomputer does not generate range shifting signals to a transmission actuator and generates a long buzzer drive signal. A driver of a vehicle is notified about this fact by a long sound of a buzzer.

  • Patent number: 4560024
Abstract: An automatic running speed control system for an automotive vehicle in which there are provided a plurality of control switches including a set switch and capable of selectively setting changing drive conditions of a car and a control unit which includes a memory for storing set car speed, a comparator for comparing the actual car speed detected by a speed sensor with the set car speed read from the memory, and an overdrive cut circuit for inhibiting an overdrive condition of an automatic transmission when a fine speed reduction operation is performed by the operation of the set switch or speed reduction switch. With this construction, the automatic constant speed running of a car is performed so as to equalize the actual car speed to the set car speed stored in the memory, while the overdrive condition of the automatic transmission can be inhibited or prevented by the operation of a particular switch such as the set switch.

  • Patent number: 4359124
Abstract: A fluid actuator for electrically detecting the running speed of a vehicle and processing the detected data and an electric control system for driving said actuator are provided, and in the electric control system a delay involved in the response of the fluid actuator to a change of the running speed of the vehicle is compensated for in advance by a filter means to thereby automatically maintain a constant running speed of the vehicle.
