  • Patent number: 5653542
Abstract: A tape printer cassette, bearing a film tape and ink ribbon on spools therein, maintains the film tape in a feed path defined by an outer wall and a partition and the ink ribbon in a feed path defined by the partition and an inner wall. The inner wall and the partition are set to be substantially the same height as the ink ribbon and higher than the outer wall. When the ink ribbon is wider than the film tape, an unused portion of the ink ribbon remains after printing; regulating members spaced by the width of the film tape, downstream of the printing region, keep the film tape in the center of the ribbon so that the unused portion remains and so that the ink ribbon cannot proceed along the film tape feed path past the regulating members. When an adhesive backing is also provided on a spool in the cassette, regulating members align the film tape and adhesive backing at a feed capstan so that they are not displaced relative to each other when adhered.

  • Patent number: 5332195
Abstract: A rope traction device has a sheave which is driven and rotated to cause a traction rope to be wound on the sheave and thereby moves along the traction rope. The rope traction device includes a pair of annular side plates made of an elastic material and provided at sides of the sheave in such a manner that the interval between the inner surfaces of the side plates is made smaller than the diameter of the rope by a predetermined value and the side plates are secured to the sides of the sheave by means of boltheads of bolts arranged alternately in the circumferential direction of the sheave. The side plates may alternately be secured to the sides of the sheave by means of boltheads of bolts and nuts positioned at opposite positions in the circumferential direction of the sheave.

  • Patent number: 4205871
Abstract: A rope traction apparatus includes a sheave around which an intermediate length of traction rope extends. One run of the rope which is located on one side of the sheave provides a traction run while the run located on the other side thereof provides a free run. The sheave is firmly mounted on a drive shaft which is rotatably mounted on a frame assembly. The frame assembly is provided with an operating member which is rotatably mounted on a support shaft which extends parallel to the drive shaft. The operating member has its opposite ends located adjacent to the periphery of the sheave and each carry a roller having an axis which extends parallel to the drive shaft. One of the rollers is located to engage the traction run of the rope to cause an angular movement of the operating member in response to the tension therein. The other roller is located close to the sheave to hold the traction rope in a groove formed in the sheave as a result of the angular momentum applied to the operating member.
