  • Publication number: 20170286019
Abstract: When the storage system according to the present invention receives a request for writing new data to a first logical volume after having received a first pair creating request, the storage system stores the new data in a cache memory. Then when the storage system subsequently receives a second pair creating request, even if the cache memory still has stored therein the data identical to the data that was stored on the first logical volume at the point in time when the storage system received the first pair formation request, and even if this identical data has not yet been copied to the second logical volume, the storage system omits to copy this identical data to the second logical volume.

  • Patent number: 9755409
Abstract: Although protective members such as urethane sheets and PVC sheets used for wiring harnesses exhibit very good performance in knocking sound characteristic, they are poor in silencing effect for rubbing sound generated by a wiring harness and a vehicle body or the wiring harness and another member in a vehicle and vehicle interior quietness may be impaired due to the rubbing sound generated in the vehicle. Rubbing sound generated in a vehicle is suppressed by a wiring harness with sound absorber including a sound absorber including a nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 50 to 400 g/m2 and a thickness of 5 to 20 mm and a wiring harness at least partially integrated with the sound absorber.

  • Publication number: 20170169809
Abstract: If a thickness of a sound absorber arranged in a vehicle and clearances in the vehicle do not match and gaps are formed between the sound absorber and the respective members in the vehicle, abnormal noise due to the mutual contact of the members and noise outside the vehicle enter the vehicle interior to impair vehicle interior quietness. This is solved by a sound absorber which includes a nonwoven fabric containing 5 to 50 mass % of second fibers having a lower melting point than that of first fibers and can cause the first and second fibers to be more loosely interfaced and increase a volume of the nonwoven fabric by heating the nonwoven fabric to about the melting point of the second fibers and softening or melting the second fibers even after production.

  • Patent number: 9250813
Abstract: When a plurality of applications operating in a host computer or a storage system uses a same pool, actual data constantly allocated to an upper tier drive satisfying the required response performance will continue to increase. Therefore, when data is migrated by IOPS in page units, the access performance such as the response speed may not be satisfied. Therefore, according to the present invention, multiple virtual volumes used in applications are subjected to grouping. Relocation conditions corresponding to performances required for each group are set in advance, and reallocation of tiers according to the relocation conditions is performed.
