    Abstract: An automatic transmission is arranged in a hybrid driveline employing an EV mode and an HEV mode, and establishes transmission ratio positions by engaging or disengaging frictional elements. A system or method includes: determining, based on a vehicle deceleration and a relationship between a requested transmission ratio position and an actual transmission ratio, whether or not interlocking is occurring, when the automatic transmission is in a state out of transmission shifting, wherein the interlocking is due to erroneous engagement of one of the frictional elements; and inhibiting the determination about interlocking, during a period from start of slip of a first frictional element of the automatic transmission to confirmation of convergence of slip of the first frictional element, in a situation that the first frictional element is slip-engaged for starting the engine in response to a request for mode transition from the EV mode to the HEV mode.

    Abstract: In an automatic transmission with a speed changer having a plurality of engagement elements and configured to shift the speed changer into a selected one of a plurality of shift stages by switching engaged and disengaged states of the engagement elements, a first rotation sensor is provided for detecting input rotation of the speed changer and a second rotation sensor for detecting output rotation of the speed changer. Also provided is a transmission controller configured to determine whether a change in input torque inputted into the speed changer occurs. The transmission controller is further configured to determine that interlock has occurred in the speed changer, when there is no pulse signal output from the second rotation sensor though, during a vehicle stopped state, the input-torque change has occurred and the pulse signal from the first rotation sensor has been outputted.

    Abstract: In torque down control apparatus and method for an automotive vehicle, an upper limit value of a drive force of a prime mover is reduced to a predetermined value when a predetermined condition is established, the upper limit value of the drive force is increased at a predetermined speed to recover the upper limit value of the drive force from the predetermined value, the recovery is limited when an accelerator opening angle is smaller than a predetermined opening angle than a case where the accelerator opening angle is equal to or larger than the predetermined opening angle during the recovery of the upper limit value of the drive force, and the limitation is relieved when a vehicle speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined vehicle speed than a case where the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed.
