  • Patent number: 5870207
Abstract: A facsimile system having a terminal and a main body. The terminal reads an image and sends the read image to the main body, and the main body transmits the image data received from the terminal through a communication line. The terminal includes a processing instructing unit for instructing processing of the read image at the main body; a first storage unit for storing an identification code specifically assigned to the terminal; and a sending unit for sending to the main body the image data, the instruction data instructed by the processing instructing unit, and the identification code stored in the first storage unit. The main body includes a receiving unit for receiving the data sent by the sending unit; a detecting unit for detecting the identification code from the data received by the receiving unit; and a processing unit for processing the image data received by the receiving unit based on a result of the detection made by the detecting unit.

  • Patent number: 5767985
Abstract: A facsimile/electronic-mail transforming system comprises a host unit linked through a network (LAN) to a plurality of other terminals as destinations of E-mails, and a facsimile unit connected directly to the host unit and also connected to the public telephone line. Other terminals outside the LAN sends E-mails through the public telephone line to the facsimile unit, which works as a gateway so that the E-mails are delivered to intended terminals on the LAN. When an originating terminal sends mail information, with destination indicating information being appended thereto, to the facsimile unit through the public telephone line, the information is received by the line controller and transferred through the interface to the host unit. In the host unit, the transferred information is received through the interface and saved in the storage.

  • Patent number: 4706607
Abstract: The invention provides an improved stall house for livestock or, in particular, pig breeding in which the excrements from the animals can be disposed under very sanitary conditions with great labor saving. The inventive stall house comprises an array of pens with the floor formed of slatted boards through which the excrements can freely fall down on to the sawdust bed below in an underfloor excrement-receiving vessel extending from one end to the other of the array of pens and a travelling shuffler capable of running in the excrement-receiving vessel back and forth from one end to the other over the sawdust bed with simultaneous shuffling of the sawdust bed to introduce fresh air thereinto in order to promote the aerobic fermentation of the excrements by the aerobic fermentation bacteria in the sawdust.
