  • Publication number: 20140045531
Abstract: A portable-device position determination system has a portable device that is configured to be possessed by a user, and an in-vehicle device that is mounted on a vehicle and conducts wireless communication with the portable device. The in-vehicle device transmits a request signal to the portable device. The portable device detects a received signal intensity of the request signal to send back the received signal intensity to the in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device compares the received signal intensity of the request signal detected by the portable device to a threshold to determine a position of the portable device. The in-vehicle device includes a transmission controller that generates the request signal, supplies an electric power to a transmitting antenna, and transmits the request signal from the transmitting antenna, and a current detector that detects a current passed through the transmitting antenna when the request signal is transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20130271475
Abstract: In the case where a projector is used in combination with another projector, individual use of only one projector is enabled. A slave projector operates together with a master projector. In this case, the operation methods to start up the projector are a first method in which only a first key is pressed, a second method in which the first key and a second key are pressed simultaneously, and a third method in which the first key and a third key are pressed simultaneously. When the slave projector detects a user's operation with a remote controller, if the operation is done by the first method or the second method, the slave projector ignores this operation. Meanwhile, if the operation is done by the second method, the slave projector starts up the own device irrespective of the command from the master.

  • Publication number: 20130258289
Abstract: A display system displays images projected by a plurality of projection type display devices so as to overlap each other. When a user uses this system, events occurring in these devices can be reliably delivered to the user. A commander and a slave project and display images so as to overlap each other. When a notification-required event occurs in the commander or the slave, the commander specifies this notification-required event. Then, the commander displays a first OSD image between the first OSD image and a second OSD image, which form an image corresponding to the specified notification-required event, in a predetermined region of a first screen of screens on which images are displayed. Also, the commander outputs to the slave a control signal to display the second OSD image in the predetermined region. The slave displays the second OSD image in the predetermined region when the control signal is received.

  • Patent number: 7776133
Abstract: In the operation, a flux mainly composed of silica ore and a non-ferrous metal-ore raw-material are charged into a smelting furnace via a conveying system. In order to increase the production amount of the metal, the flux is conveyed and treated through a first system, in which the flux is crushed in a ball mill and dried in the bail mill, and the crushed and dried flux is conveyed directly before the smelting furnace. The non-ferrous metal ore is treated and conveyed through a second system, in which it is dried with a drier and then conveyed directly before the smelting furnace. In the drier of copper concentrate, the flux is not dried at all.

  • Patent number: 5912401
Abstract: In a pyrometallurgical smelting method of copper, the copper-ore and auxiliary fuel, such as carbonaceous material, is blown through an ore-concentrate burner into a reaction shaft. In an improved pyrometallurgical smelting of copper, the carbonaceous material is used to reduce the Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4 contained in the slag. The present invention provides an improved method for reducing the Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4 even in a case at a decreased amount of auxiliary fuel is to be decreased. The carbonaceous material is blown into a lower portion of the reaction shaft where the oxygen partial pressure is low.

  • Patent number: 4998253
Abstract: A syndrome sequential decoding system for error correction of a convolutional code has a syndrome former for providing a syndrome sequence from a received sequence, a syndrome buffer memory for storing the syndrome sequence, an estimated error buffer memory for storing an estimated error sequence, a syndrome register for representing a syndrome state under searching, a comparator for testing if content of the syndrome register is all zero, and an algorithm controller. The algorithm controller controls the syndrome register, calculates a path metric and raises a flag in the estimated error buffer memory for showing an estimated error bit position. The syndrome sequential decoding system also includes an exclusive-OR circuit for correcting an information bit error according to the output of the estimated error buffer memory. When the content of the syndrome register is all zero, it shows that a currently searching path merges with the maximum likelihood path.
