Abstract: Process and device configurations are provided operating and designing an auxiliary advisory system for manufacturing control systems and machine operations. Systems and processes are configured to utilize adaptive learning and context awareness to provide auxiliary advising and to assess a manufacturing environment and infrastructure. Processes are provided to receive and process data for a machine operation and assess interactions relative to one or more of a worker, machine, machine component and material. The processes and systems may output advice to assist with existing manufacturing systems and to adapt to changes in manufacturing conditions and environmental constraints. Advisory system functions may also include anomaly detection and recognition of worker gestures to control operation of a machine and a manufacturing process. Processes are provided to integrate causal relationships of objects by self-labeling data into causality models for assessing machine operation.

Abstract: Non-intrusive monitoring and workflow assessment to optimize manufacturing environments are described herein. The systems and method combines computer vision and energy load disaggregation to track worker activity and equipment usage and status. These events are then correlated to optimize workflows and energy efficiency.

A method of inhibiting toxin-induced cytotoxic effect in colon cells includes contacting the colon cells with an effective amount of a HMGB1 inhibitor.

Abstract: A method of preparing a library of small interfering RNA (siRNA) expression systems for producing siRNA for silencing of target genes by inducing degradation of target gene RNA expression products includes: (i) isolating RNA of one or more target genes from a cell population; (ii) generating RNA fragments from the isolated RNA; (iii) converting the RNA fragments into dsDNA fragments; and (iv) cloning the dsDNA fragments into vectors for forming cloned vectors, each vector including one or more promoters and at least one restriction enzyme site capable of accepting the insertion of at least one dsDNA fragment such that siRNA can be produced. Methods for producing siRNA from the siRNA expression system and methods of identifying a functional target gene for treatment by using the siRNA produced from the siRNA expression system and for identifying RNAi therapeutics are also provided.
