The system includes a control device determining an occupancy state in the location based on the first measurement and determining a result of validating the determined occupancy state based on the second measurement. An agreement between the first and second measurements validating the determined occupancy state while a discrepancy invalidating the determined occupancy state. The control device generates a signal based on the result which is received by a manual on-auto off device to perform a corresponding operation on the lighting system.

First and second estimates are calculated from the second data set using first and second algorithms. The first estimate and the second estimate are fused to create a fused occupant estimate. The first algorithm, the second algorithm, or both the first algorithm and the second algorithm are trained by inputting the second occupant estimate and/or the second set of data to recalibrate parameters of the first algorithm and/or inputting the first occupant estimate and/or the first set of data to recalibrate parameters during training of the second algorithm. A building control system can operated in response to the fused occupant estimate.

A trained machine learning model analyzes images of structured documents to determine bounding boxes for keys, values, and key-value containers in the images with confidence scores for the classifications. For each image, duplicate bounding boxes are removed, and then a set of key-value containers are selected and sorted based on the confidence scores. For each key-value container, a best key and value are determined for the container based on overlap of the key and value bounding boxes with the container bounding box and the confidence scores. Optical character recognition may be performed on the image to determine text for the keys and values.
