The catalyst layer is positioned between the electrolyte membrane and the gas diffusion layer. The catalyst layer is made of a catalyst material.     Abstract: An electrode structure includes an electrolyte membrane, a plurality of anode catalyst particles located on an anode side of the electrolyte membrane, a plurality of cathode catalyst particles located on a cathode side of the electrolyte membrane, and a recombination layer located between the electrolyte membrane and the anode catalyst particles. The anode catalyst particles are used for electrolyzing water into a hydrogen ion, oxygen, and an electron. The cathode catalyst particles are used for combining the hydrogen ion and the electron with each other to produce hydrogen. If hydrogen generated on the cathode side of the electrolyte membrane permeates into the anode side across the electrolyte membrane, the hydrogen having permeated is combined with oxygen to turn into water again in the recombination layer. This makes it possible to suppress mixture of hydrogen into oxygen to be output from the anode side.

    Abstract: An organ container includes a pouch-shaped body. The body has an opening and is capable of storing an organ that is inserted from the opening into an inner space. The body is formed of a styrene elastomer. The body has inner and outer surfaces each having a uneven shape. This structure suppresses a temperature rise in the organ stored in the body and reduces damage to the organ when some sort of impacts is applied to the organ. Moreover, the uneven shape of the inner surface of the body allows holding of a low-temperature preservation solution and thereby improves insulation effectiveness of the organ. The uneven shape of the outer surface of the body facilitates the surgeon's handling of the organ container and thereby improves workability.
