Abstract: A control unit in an electronic control device includes: an activation mode information storage unit having a software area with a plurality of sides for storing software and activation mode information indicating whether a system is activated in a normal mode or a reprogram mode; and an activation side information storage unit storing activation side information indicating with which of the plurality of sides the system is activated in the normal mode. At least one of the activation mode information and the activation side information is updated according to a progress of reprogram. The system is activated based on the activation mode information and the activation side information.

Abstract: An electronic control device includes: a manifest file acquisition unit; an update program acquisition unit; and a reprogram execution unit that executes reprogramming according to a machine state and a function group defined in a manifest file by instructing an electronic control unit as a reprogram target device to write the update program. The manifest file defines a normal state and a reprogram state as machine states conforming to a predetermined in-vehicle software platform standard specification; a first group to which a reprogrammable application while a vehicle drive mechanism is running belongs as a function group conforming to the specification; a second group to which an application not relating to the reprogramming belongs; and an activation state and a stop state in each of the first group and the second group.

Abstract: A device identification information is received for identifying an electronic control device conforming to a predetermined platform as a reprogram target. A detailed information is held for a connection destination necessary for transmitting a processing request to the electronic control device as the reprogram target identified by the device identification information. The processing request is transmitted to the electronic control device conforming to the predetermined platform via a programming interface based on the detailed information.

Abstract: An onboard device comprising a processor, wherein the processor: at an onboard device installed at a vehicle, records a control program that is recorded in a first recording medium and that carries out processing for controlling the onboard device, and an application program that is recorded in a second recording medium different than the first recording medium and that carries out processing on the onboard device; acquires an update package including at least one of a first program that updates the control program, or a second program that updates the application program; and carries out updating of the control program and the application program in accordance with the acquired update package.
