    Abstract: The present disclosure is to provide a printing apparatus capable of efficient preheating. The printing apparatus includes a print head, a carriage, a heating section which selectively performs an ejection operation of ejecting liquid and a heating operation of warming liquid, and a control section. In a case where a distance between a reversing position at which the scan direction of the carriage is switched and a position at which the print head starts ejection in a next scan is longer than a predetermined distance, the control section causes the heating section to execute the heating operation while the carriage is accelerating in the next scan.
