  • Publication number: 20090103743
Abstract: An echo canceller includes a residual signal generation unit, a double talk detection unit, a nonlinear processor, a speech detection unit, and an input/output characteristic change unit. The residual signal generation unit generates a pseudo echo signal, and generates a residual signal by using the pseudo echo signal. The double talk detection unit detects the state of the transmission signal. The nonlinear processor attenuates the residual signal that has been inputted thereto to a signal level which is based on a predetermined input/output characteristic, and that outputs the attenuated residual signal. The speech detection unit detects whether or not speech is included in the reception signal. The input/output characteristic change unit changes the input/output characteristic of the nonlinear processor to a predetermined input/output characteristic when a single talk state has been detected at the double talk detection unit and speech has been detected at the speech detection unit.

  • Patent number: 5392845
Abstract: An air-conditioning device capable of obtaining a suitable blow-out temperature through one passage from the initial period of change even when the air-conditioning operation in which either a first passage or a second passage is closed is changed into an operation condition in which it is opened. A feet mode in which the hot air is blown to the feet of a passenger from a second passage 7, is changed to a bilevel mode in which a first passage 6 that communicates with the upper half body of the passenger is switched from the closed state to the open state. During a predetermined period of time in the initial period following the change, the temperature blown from the first passage 6 is determined based upon a blow-out temperature of the second passage 7 and a desired blow-out temperature TAOV of the first passage 6.

  • Patent number: 5340021
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to supply air to passengers in an automobile so that they will feel more comfortable in the presence of solar radiation by suppressing a rise in temperature in a vehicle passenger compartment caused by solar radiation. There is provided a cold air damper which feeds cold air immediately after an evaporator to a face blow port and mixes it with the conditioned air that has passed through an air mixing damper, with the amount of blown air is changed by a blower fan. A control means detects the amount of solar radiation present by using a solar radiation sensor. This invention calculates the temperature of air blown out in the absence of solar radiation, calculates the temperature of air blown out in the presence of solar radiation, calculates a corrected blowing rate according to a thermal equilibrium equation in the presence of solar radiation, and calculates a blowing rate in the presence of solar radiation.

  • Patent number: 5337802
Abstract: An air-conditioning apparatus for a vehicle having separate units for a driver's seat and an assistant driver's seat. Each of the units has first and second vent outlets opened to a cabin near the lateral side of the cabin and the center side of cabin. A sensor is provided for detecting an amount of the solar radiation. The sensor also can detect an azimuth angle and elevation angle of the sun with respect to the direction of movement. An increase in the thermal load due to the solar radiation is determined, and the calculated increase is allocated to the first and second vent outlets by changing the temperature and/or the amount of the air discharged from the respective outlets, so that the passenger can feel a uniform temperature irrespective of the position of the sun with respect to the direction of movement of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4829777
Abstract: A condenser is connected to an outlet of a compressor. An expansion valve is connected to the condenser. An evaporator is connected between the expansion valve and an inlet of the compressor. A sensor detects a condition of refrigerant at an outlet side of the evaporator. A variation in rate of refrigerant flow into the evaporator is detected. A control device determines a variation in the detected condition of refrigerant which occurs in response to the variation in the rate of refrigerant flow. The control device judges a quantity of refrigerant to be insufficient when the determined variation in the refrigerant condition is equal to or smaller than a reference value.

  • Patent number: 4807445
Abstract: The degree of opening of the expansion valve in refrigeration system is controlled by means of PID control such that a refrigerant superheat at the outlet of the evaporator approaches a target valve. Since an elapsed time after the start of the refrigeration system varies in response to a change of a heat load of air to be cooled by the evaporator, if the control constant of the PID control is designed so that the expansion valve can be controlled adequately for high evaporator heat load, or for low evaporator heat load, adequate control cannot be achieved in the opposite case not taken into consideration in design. According to the present invention, the control constant of the PID control is varied when an elapsed time after the start of the refrigeration system reaches a reference time which is determined on the basis of a heat load of air to be cooled by the evaporator.
