    Abstract: It is an object to provide a driving apparatus, which can be easily mounted to vehicles of different models. A circuit unit for controlling an operation of an electric motor is fixed to an axial end of a motor casing. A connector holding unit, which is integrally formed with a heat sink of the circuit unit, is composed of a first and a second arm portions and a connecting portion to form a connector accommodating space in such a radial outside position of the motor casing. The connector accommodating space extends in an axial direction of the motor casing. An inside connector unit is inserted into the connector accommodating space. The inside connector unit has a connector-insert hole into which an outside connector (a vehicle-side connector) is inserted for electrical connection.

    Abstract: A drive unit has a motor, a control unit, and a fastener. The motor is housed in a motor case, and includes a stator, a rotor, and a shaft. The stator has winding wires that are wound therein and are electrically coupled to motor wires. The rotor is disposed inside of the stator and the shaft is disposed in and coupled to the rotor, such that the rotor and shaft rotate, as one, within the stator. The control unit includes a semiconductor module with a switching element, a connection terminal that electrically couples the switching element with other devices, and a control unit case to house the semiconductor module. The fastener is disposed in the control unit case, such that the fastener couples the motor and the control unit, and electrically couples the motor wire and the connection terminal.

    Abstract: It is an object to provide a driving apparatus, according to which a control unit can be detachably connected to a motor unit in a condition that electronic circuits are not exposed to an outside of a housing. The electronic circuits are accommodated in the housing. A first connecting member is supported by a holder unit, which holds a motor terminal connected to a winding of a stator of the motor unit. A second connecting member is attached to the housing from the outside thereof, in such a way that a circuit-board terminal connected to the electronic circuits and the motor terminal are interposed between the first and second connecting members. As a result, the circuit-board terminal and the motor terminal are mechanically and electrically connected to each other.
