    Abstract: An inverter, motor drive device and freezing device, with which it is possible to effectively suppress current beats in the event of over-modulation without requiring additional circuits. This motor driving device includes: a rectifier circuit that converts the AC voltage from an AC power supply into a DC voltage; a smoothing capacitor that smoothes the DC voltage output from the rectifier circuit; an inverter circuit that converts the DC voltage output from the smoothing capacitor into an AC voltage; and a controller that reduces the current beat component by estimating, using a phase locked loop process, the frequency, phase and amplitude of the current beat component in the output current of the inverter circuit, and corrects the voltage command to the inverter circuit on the basis of the estimated frequency, phase and amplitude.

    Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to suppress current distortion due to load-side AC voltage, magnetic saturation (nonlinear) characteristics of a motor, etc., in a power conversion device and a motor drive device. A power conversion device for performing power conversion between an AC power supply and a DC loader between DC power supplies is provided with: an inverter circuit; a current detection means for detecting the AC current of the AC power supply; a voltage controller for generating a command voltage for the inverter circuit on the basis of an AC current signal detected by the current detection means; and a correction unit having a gain with respect to a specific frequency and correcting the command voltage on the basis of the AC current signal. The correction unit is configured to correct the command voltage that has been output from the voltage controller.

    Abstract: A scroll-type compressor includes a front housing, a rear housing, and stationary and movable scrolls engaging with each other to define a plurality of compression chambers therebetween. The stationary scroll is connected to the rear housing to define a discharge chamber therebetween. The stationary and movable scrolls are provided between the front and rear housings so that the movable scroll moves along an orbiting path. A drive shaft extends through the front housing and is drivingly connected to the movable scroll. The rotation of the drive shaft moves the movable scroll along the orbiting path to shift the compression chambers from the periphery to the center of the scrolls with the volume of the chambers reducing. A slider plate, substantially in the form of a ring, for providing a sliding surface for the movable scroll, relative to the front housing, is disposed between the front housing and the movable scroll.

    Abstract: A video contrast enhancer enhances luminance contrast by dividing each video frame or field into blocks, calculating a mean luminance level for each block, selecting mapping functions on the basis of these mean luminance levels over a series of frames or fields, and mapping the video luminance levels according to the selected mapping functions. Color-saturation contrast is enhanced by modifying the amplitude of the modulated chrominance signal by the histogram equalization method, preferably by making a single linear modification in each period of the chrominance signal, so that color phase is not affected. For video signals with non-picture bands, these enhancements are preferably restricted to the picture area. If a black offset is present, it is preferably removed.

The shell of the compressor comprises a center housing, a front housing, and a rear housing. The stationary scroll is integrally formed with the center housing. The movable scroll is carried by an eccentric shaft portion of a drive shaft which is rotatably supported by the front housing so that the movable scroll can move in an orbit. The rear housing has a first set of bolt holes, and the front housing has a first set of threaded holes for receiving a first set of through bolts which are inserted in the first set of bolt holes from the rear side whereby the center housing is fastened between the front and rear housings by the fastening force of the through bolts.

    Abstract: An eccentric shaft 5 is radially slidably inserted in a bore 6a of a bushing 6, which is inserted in an opening 8c-1 of a boss portion 8c of a movable scroll member 8 by way of a radial needle bearing 7. An axial space 24 is confined between a rear end of a bushing 6 and a bottom surface of the opening 8c-1. The space 24 is in communication with the radial bearing 7 via an annular gap 26 between faced surfaces of bushing 6 and the opening 8c-1. A radial space 23 is confined between the inner surface of the bore 6a and the eccentric shaft 5, so that a limited radial movement of the eccentric shaft 5 with respect to the bushing 6 is allowed. A washer 21 for obtaining a fixed axial location of the bushing 6 on the eccentric shaft 5 is formed with recess 21b (first passageway 25) for communicating the radial space 23 with the axial space 24. The bushing 6 is further formed with a radial hole 27 (second passageway) for communicating the radial space 23 with a crank chamber R.

    Abstract: A scroll type compressor includes a front housing, a fixed scroll, a movable scroll and a rear housing, and its lateral cross section has a substantially oval shape. The spiral element of the movable scroll is located in the space defined by the front housing and the fixed scroll in such a way as to engage with the spiral element of the fixed scroll. The space defined by the fixed scroll and the rear housing serves as a discharge chamber where compressed refrigerant gas is discharged. Since this compressor has the same compression displacement as that of a compressor having a circular cross section, this compressor can be placed in narrow space whose width is less than the width of the circular compressor, without any reduction in the cooling performance.

    Abstract: When a rotary shaft of a scroll type compressor rotates and a movable scroll of the compressor makes an orbital movement around the axis of a rotary shaft by way of an eccentric shaft, refrigerant gas is supplied to compression chambers between a fixed scroll and the movable scroll. A first bearing rotatably supports the rotary shaft. A second bearing is provided between the movable scroll and the eccentric shaft to permit relative movement therebetween. A balance weight attached to the movable scroll dynamically balances the movable scroll during its rotation. A crank chamber accommodates the balance weight. A suction port is so provided in the housing as to communicate with the crank chamber, and permits the refrigerant gas to be supplied into the housing. A passage is formed in the balance weight, the eccentric shaft and the rotary shaft to supply the refrigerant gas into a first gap between the first bearing and the rotary shaft and a second gap between the second bearing and the movable scroll.

    Abstract: A rotor cover is disposed at one end surface of a rotor which has a ring-shaped locking ridge on the end surface thereof. The locking ridge has an outer peripheral surface fitted in a locking groove in the rotor cover. A holder is held against an inner peripheral surface of the locking ridge. With this arrangement, the diameter of the rotor is kept constant at all times, and so is the gap between the rotor and the housing, thus preventing scuffing of the rotor and the housing.
