The relay device is controlled by the communication device, and includes an imaging unit, a sending unit that sends a captured image to the communication device, and a sending unit that wirelessly sends an instruction signal to the appliance to be controlled. The communication device includes a storage unit that stores data on an image of the space captured in advance, data on a partial area included in the image, and data on at least one of a request for movement to a destination and a request for transmission of an instruction signal, in association with each other.
