  • Publication number: 20150347563
Abstract: An information providing apparatus providing an information item to a user includes a generated information obtaining portion, a category determination portion, a priority setting portion, a selection portion, and a providing portion. The generated information obtaining portion obtains generated information items that are generated by executions of multiple applications, respectively. The category determination portion determines a category of each of the generated information items. The priority setting portion sets a priority order based on the category of each of the generated information items. The selection portion selects a providing information item to be provided from the generated information items obtained by the generated information obtaining portion according to the priority order. The providing portion provides the selected providing information item to the user.

  • Patent number: 8872671
Abstract: A sound output apparatus for a vehicle includes a sound input device, a sound signal generation section, a sound output device, a road-information acquisition section, and a specified-direction determination section. The sound input device collects sounds outside of the vehicle. The sound signal generation section generates an output signal based on the sounds outside of the vehicle collected. The sound output device outputs a sound to a vehicle interior of the vehicle based on the output signal generated. The road-information acquisition section acquires road information in proximity of the vehicle. The specified-direction determination section determines a specified direction which is previously associated with the road information. The sound signal generation section generates the output signal such that a direction of sound-image localization of a sound outputted by the sound output device accords with the specified direction determined by the specified-direction determination section.

  • Patent number: 8478601
Abstract: A voice recognition apparatus includes: a voice input element for inputting voice of an user; a voice pattern memory for storing multiple voice patterns respectively corresponding to multiple phrases; a voice recognition element for calculating a similarity degree between the voice and each voice pattern and determining the highest similarity degree so that one voice pattern corresponding to the highest similarity degree is recognized as the voice; a display for displaying a recognition result corresponding to the one voice pattern; an execution determination element for executing a process according to the one voice pattern when a predetermined operation is input by the user; a load estimation element for estimating a load of the user; and a display controller for controlling the display based on a positive correlation between the load and display repetition of the recognition result on the display.
