    Abstract: A cassette loading device for VTR's wherein a reduction drive assembly for coupling a cassette holder to a drive source comprises a first drive mechanism having a small reduction ratio and a second drive mechanism having a great reduction ratio. The cassette holder is driven by the first drive mechanism when transporting a cassette and by the second drive mechanism when completing the loading of the cassette.
