    Abstract: A layered structure for manipulating optical polarization for a head-up display application is provided herein. The Mangin mirror-type surface is configured to modulate the reflection of incoming collimated light on the surface of the segment to provide a collimated wave front without toroidal aberration thereby providing an observer with an undistorted image.
