Abstract: A storage facility having lift robots and ground robots cooperating in transferring of totes within the facility, is disclosed. The transferring of totes between ground robots and lift robots in the facility through buffer locations, allows the totes to be carried on top of the lift robots, which are thereby secured against unintentional dropping of the tote. The efficiency of the storage facility may be further improved in that the buffer locations, and in various embodiments also short height storage locations, which are accessible directly to ground robots, are utilized for storing totes that are ranked as associated with high prevalence to be transferred by ground robots, without the involvement of lift robots.

The scissor linkages are configured to expand and collapse independently from one another. Each of the lower scissor ends are attached to a pair of vertical bars at a fixed height and each of the upper scissor ends are slidably attached to the pair vertical bars. Height defining elements selectively define heights of at least one of the upper scissor ends of each of the scissor linkages.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for making decorative articles having desired decorative patterns thereon, by producing a decorative strip having a pattern portion of the desired pattern, and an extraneous scrap portion to be removed in order to define the desired pattern; applying the decorative strip to a separation assembly including a pressure applicator engaging one side of the decorative strip and configured according to the scrap portion to be removed, and a counter-pressure device end the opposite side of the decorative strip and configured according to the pattern portion, so as to separate the scrap portion from the pattern portion; and removing the separated scrap portion. In one described preferred embodiment, the pressure applicator includes a plurality of pins arrayed according to the configuration of the scrap portion to be removed; and in other described embodiments, the counter-pressure device also includes a plurality of pins; but arrayed according to the pattern portion to be retained.

Abstract: Exercising apparatus capable of enabling a user to select any one of a plurality of different exercises to be performed by the user for exercising different muscles or muscle groups of the user's body. The apparatus includes a body supporting member for supporting the body of the user in a predetermined position according to the exercise selected to be performed; a body-engageable member engageable by a selected part of the user's body, when supported on the body supporting member, and displaceable in a predetermined direction by a force applied by the selected body part to the body-engageable member, according to the exercise selected to be performed; and a resistance member coupled to the body-engageable member for imposing a resistance to the displacement of the body-engageable member when the selected part of the user's body applies the force to the body-engageable member.
