Patent number: 9038035Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a method for describing network events in a service aware network (“SAN”). In addition, the present invention relates to software that performs the method and has a programming model containing protocol libraries, abstract protocol messages declarations, and network events. The method and software enable a user to define basic as well as complex network events in the application, presentation, session, transport and/or network layers of a communication model, which result in internet protocol (“IP”) level triggers or other triggers. Such triggers will result in actions which may be applicable in all layers of a communication model up to the highest layer. As a result, the method and software allow a user to describe a hierarchy of high level network events through a hierarchy of lower level events. In addition, a development system and an apparatus which utilizes the method and software are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2010Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: Cisco Systems Israel, Inc.Inventors: Yuval Shachar, Doron Shamia, Oren Ravoy

Publication number: 20130240015Abstract: A portable folding arrangement of panels apparatus is used for generation of power that may be regulated and supplied to a consumer of the generated power. In particular, such a power consumer may be an air-conditioner to be used, for example, within a vehicle, to control the temperature therein. The apparatus is comprised of a plurality of essentially rigid panels, each having at least a solar cell, that are connected to supply the power to charge a battery, to operate a power consumer, and the like. The plurality of panels are connected to allow the collapsing of the foldable panels face-to-face, back-to-back, or other folding arrangements. The apparatus can be unfolded when desired for the purpose of converting the solar energy into electrical power for storage or use by a power consumer.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2013Publication date: September 19, 2013Inventors: Dan Chaimovski, Reuven Marko, Yuval Shachar

Patent number: 6081842Abstract: Access to data resources on data communications networks is simplified by encoding data resource specifiers into a compressed form which can be stored in a service providers telephone equipment and transmitted to a user. The service provider stores information objects (e.g., hypertext pages) on one or more host computers at a node of a computer network, and develops compressed, compact resource specifiers for the information objects. A translation of the compressed resource specifier is provided in the user's telephone/terminal device and/or the host computer for translating the compressed resource specifiers back into their uncompressed form. The service provider stores the compressed resource specifiers in his telephone equipment and transmits them to users in response to user requests, such as in DTMF format. A compatible telephone/terminal device at the user's site (e.g., a computer or smartphone) receives and stores the compressed resource specifiers.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 1998Date of Patent: June 27, 2000Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventor: Yuval Shachar

Patent number: 6012102Abstract: Access to data resources on data communications networks is simplified by encoding data resource identifiers into a machine-readable printed symbol which can be scanned into a computer-based data communications terminal. The machine-readable printed symbol can be a bar code or in the form obtainable with any other printed encoding technology which encodes digital information in printed form so that it can be electronically read. Once the symbolic representation of the data resource specifier is read into the computer, software running on the computer can use a data resource identifier to access internet resources. Various features are directed to compressing the size of the data resource identifier to fit within a short symbol such as a bar code on a business card.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1996Date of Patent: January 4, 2000Assignee: InfoGear Technology CorporationInventor: Yuval Shachar

Patent number: 5923736Abstract: An integrated telephone/terminal device for performing telephone and data communications functions is described. The telephone/terminal device includes a display screen, input device, telephone interface, data communications interface (e.g., modem), a processor and memory. A hypertext markup language interpreter resident within the telephone/terminal device provides the basis of a hypertext based GUI. Resident hypertext documents stored within the memory of the device control user interface to essential functions such as setup and configuration, dialing, data access, etc. One aspect of the invention is directed to using HTML and TCP/IP (Internet "World Wide Web" compatible interpreter and protocols) to provide seamless access to Internet-hosted hypertext documents in a device which requires no computer training or expertise of the user thereof.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1996Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventor: Yuval Shachar

Patent number: 5764736Abstract: Techniques are described for switching from a data session to a voice session, then back to the data session. A "primary" data connection is established between a user's terminal and a communications network, which provides the user terminal with a tag identifying a voice network address (typically of a service provider) to which a voice connection can be established. The user initiates a voice connection (session) with the service provider by selecting a displayed service object associated with the service tag. During the voice session, the data session is suspended. Upon completion of the voice session, the "primary" data session is resumed. In an embodiment of the invention, a "secondary" data connection can be established during the voice session using one or more physical network connections. Data communication during the secondary data connection is optionally "remotely" guided by the service provider, and may include a distinct address for resuming the primary data connection.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 1995Date of Patent: June 9, 1998Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Yuval Shachar, Chaim Bendelac, Reuven Marko
