  • Patent number: 9464414
Abstract: A household electronic mixing-valve faucet for controlling a temperature of a mixed stream discharging from the faucet, including: (a) a faucet body; (b) a controller; (c) a first powered valve fluidly connected to the hot water flowpath; (d) a second powered valve fluidly connected to the cold water flowpath; (e) an arrangement adapted to determine extents of opening of the valves; (f) temperature sensors, operative to sense a temperature of fluids within the hot and cold water flowpaths; and pressure sensors; the controller adapted to maintain a difference between an actual temperature of the mixed stream and a setpoint temperature thereof within a particular range.

  • Publication number: 20120216893
Abstract: A household electronic mixing-valve faucet including a faucet body having hot and cold water inlets, and an outlet; a controller; powered valves responsive to the controller; an arrangement adapted to determine an extent of opening of each valve; temperature sensors and pressure sensors disposed upstream of the valves; and a third pressure sensor disposed downstream with respect to the valves; the controller adapted to receive: extent of opening information, from the arrangement, and temperature and pressure information from the sensors, the controller having calibrated relationships relating (i) a flowrate of hot water flowing through a hot water flowpath, to the extent of opening of the powered valve thereof, as a function of a first pressure differential, and (ii) a flowrate of cold water flowing through a cold water flowpath, to the extent of opening of the powered valve thereof, as a function of a second pressure differential, and wherein, during operation, the controller controls the powered valves base

  • Publication number: 20110123192
Abstract: A scheme for reconstructing multiband signals that occupy a small part of a given broad frequency range under the constraint of a small number of sampling channels. The multirate sampling scheme (MRS) entails gathering samples at several different rates whose sum is significantly lower than the Nyquist sampling rate. The number of channels does not depend on any characteristics of a signal. The reconstruction method may or may not rely on the synchronization between different sampling channels. The scheme can be implemented easily with optical sampling systems.

  • Publication number: 20090263079
Abstract: An optical router for all-optical control over the propagation direction of optical pulses, comprising: (i) a non-uniform one-dimensional photonic crystal receiving a plurality of input optical pulses, comprising: at least one first region used to obtain Bragg solitons; at least one second region in which non-linear interaction between two sufficiently adjacent solitons is obtained; and at least one third region used to de-couple resulting after the interaction pulses outside the one-dimensional photonic crystal's grating; and (ii) a plurality of sufficiently temporally separated optical pulses launched towards said one-dimensional photonic crystal from either of its sides, such that the number of pulses de-coupled from at least one of the sides of the grating is different in case when interaction between the pulses occurs inside the grating, from the case when no interaction between pulse occurs inside the grating.
