Abstract: According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus comprises, an image display device, an apparatus main body and a support mechanism, wherein the support mechanism comprises a support mechanism main body and a support arm, the image display device is attached to the support mechanism main body, and supported on the apparatus main body by the support arm, and the support mechanism main body is provided with a rotation mechanism which rotates the image display device in an upward-downward direction, a position selecting mechanism which raises or lowers the image display device, and a rotation block mechanism which blocks such rotation as to recline the image display device to a horizontal position in a case where the image display device is disposed at a position other than an uppermost end position in a movement region where the image display device rises or lowers with respect to the rotation mechanism.
