    Abstract: Methods for processing a lignocellulosic biomass are provided and include the steps of: combining the lignocellulosic biomass with a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent (HDES); heating a mixture including the lignocellulosic biomass and the HDES; and separating the mixture into a HDES phase including a first constituent of the lignocellulosic biomass, an aqueous phase including a second constituent of the lignocellulosic biomass, and a solid-residue phase including a third constituent of the lignocellulosic biomass. Water is added to the combination of the lignocellulosic biomass and the HDES, either before or after heating. An acidic additive can be added prior to heating the mixture including the lignocellulosic biomass and the HDES, or a ternary HDES including an acidic compound can be utilized, to further promote dissolution of the lignocellulosic biomass prior to heating.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an incomplete dimensionality augmentation-based optimization method for a data-driven power system. By dividing a power flow independent variable into a control variable and a disturbance variable, such as power of a controllable power supply and an uncontrolled voltage amplitude, only the disturbance variable is subjected to dimensionality augmentation, to adapt to the nonlinear characteristic of the power flow; and the control variable keeps a power flow constraint as a linearized expression of the control variable, thereby simplifying a power flow constraint form and solution, and achieving a higher-accuracy of optimization. The power optimization scheduling of distributed photovoltaic can be implemented by the optimization method provided in the present invention.

    Abstract: Electrocatalytic overall water splitting to generate hydrogen and oxygen is a green and sustainable approach with zero carbon emission, which is important for the future renewable energy landscape. The practical application of this approach is challenging due to the sluggish reaction kinetics of water activation at high current densities, which are hard to overcome. Although high-performance alkaline bifunctional electrocatalysts may be useful, current catalysts lack both activity and durability. One approach is to rationally design bifunctional two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures but obtaining an efficient and durable catalyst has proved difficult. The present disclosure relates generally to an electrocatalyst including a 2D heterostructure (Ru-CMOP), methods of making and using the same. The catalyst of the present disclosure is designed for high activity and good durability at industrial-level high current densities.

The production method includes: preparing raw materials, drying, adjusting pressure of an electromagnetic-induction furnace, melting in a vacuum induction furnace, power adjustment, casting, heat treatment, cooling. Degassing and slag removals are avoided, and defects of aluminum-lithium alloy during production are reduced.
