    Abstract: To provide a controller for AC rotary machine which can detect current of the normal phase certainly when the short circuit failure of one phase occurs, in an apparatus that a current sensor is connected in series to the positive electrode side switching device or the negative electrode side switching device of an inverter. A controller for AC rotary machine, when determining that the short circuit failure of any one phase occurred, calculates voltage command values of normal n?1 phases, and changes the voltage command values of the normal n?1 phases so that on period of the detection object device of each phase of the normal n?1 phases become longer than or equal to a length necessary for current detection at least at a current detection timing.

    Abstract: A lubricating structure for a speed reducer includes: a case; an electric motor arranged inside the case; a reduction gear configured to rotate interlocking with an output shaft of the electric motor; a pair of drive axles configured to be driven to rotate by torque transmitted from the electric motor via the reduction gear; and a catch tank configured to store part of oil by scooping up the oil with the use of the reduction gear. The reduction gear is located on a front side of the vehicle with respect to a rotor of the electric motor, and is arranged such that a lower-side common tangent of an outer peripheral circle of the reduction gear and an outer peripheral circle of the rotor is inclined upward from the front side of the vehicle toward a rear side of the vehicle at a predetermined angle with respect to a horizontal line.

    Abstract: A vehicle drive device including a rotating electrical machine; a through shaft extending through a rotor shaft of the electrical machine; a power transmission mechanism that transmits power between the rotor shaft and the through shaft; a lubricant supply that supplies lubricant inside of the rotor shaft by rotation of the power transmission mechanism; a first bearing placed radially outward of the rotor shaft to support the rotor shaft; and a second bearing placed radially outward of the through shaft to support the through shaft. The lubricant supply includes a lubricant storing portion located between the first bearing and the second bearing at a position below a rotation central axis of the through shaft. The lubricant storing portion has a portion that communicates with an opening located on an axial first direction side of the rotor shaft, at a position above a lowermost part of the opening.
