    Abstract: A machine for measuring objects includes a piston that is hydrostatically supported in a cylinder. A rod projects from the piston and an injection nozzle is attached to the tip of the rod. A detector detects displacement of the piston in the cylinder. Pressurizing chambers are formed on either side of the piston. One of the pressurizing chambers is linked to the injection nozzle, and the other pressurizing chamber has a pressure control valve.
