    Abstract: An image display control apparatus includes a division unit and a display controller. The division unit divides a rectangular display area into plural rectangular sub-areas in a direction in which one side of the display area extends. The display controller performs display control to enlarge or reduce rectangular images so that while aspect ratios of the images are maintained, a length of each of the sub-areas in the direction in which the one side of the display area extends is equal to or substantially equal to a length of each of the images in the direction in which the one side of the display area extends, and to display at least some of the enlarged or reduced images in the sub-areas.

    Abstract: An electronic book reader includes a touchscreen display device disposed on a front surface of a housing. A storage medium stores image sequence information of plural images of a predetermined sequence. A contact surface portion is disposed on a side surface of the housing. A touch sensor detects contact with the contact surface portion. There is a CPU for display control of displaying the image sequence information on the touchscreen display device. An information processing device is connected between the storage medium and the CPU, for processing the image sequence information according to contact information from the touch sensor. The contact information is information of a rubbing movement in contact with the contact surface portion. The information processing device processes the image sequence information for forward or backward page turning according to a direction of the rubbing movement.

    Abstract: An image display control apparatus includes a display controller, a determination unit, and an execution unit. When an image displayed on a display having a display area and a touch panel disposed on the display area is specified through the touch panel, the display controller performs control to display menu screens individually representing predetermined plural menu items in such a manner that a free area is provided in part of a peripheral area adjacent to the image displayed in the display area. The determination unit determines that, when specification of the image through the touch panel is followed by movement of a specified position onto a desired menu screen, the menu item represented by the desired menu screen is specified, and determines that, when the specified position is moved to the free area, a drag operation is specified. The execution unit executes a process corresponding to a determination result.

Priority levels of peripheral portions of the image are set in accordance with up and down of the image. Rendering priority between images to be overlapped is determined in accordance with a dominant-subordinate relationship between the priority levels of the peripheral portions of the respective images to be in contact. One of the images is displayed in an overlapped portion of the images based on the rendering priority.
