Patent number: 9193337Abstract: Brake hydraulic pressure is appropriately prevented from becoming lower than a reference brake pressure for holding control. When a physical amount correlating with the rotational speed of an electric motor has become higher than or equal to a predetermined value, an HSA start reference pressure setting unit sets an HSA start reference pressure to a value higher than a reference brake pressure, and if the HSA start reference pressure at a time when a driver required fluid pressure has become lower than the HSA start reference pressure is higher than the reference brake pressure, an HSA required fluid pressure setting unit sets an HSA required fluid pressure at a time when the driver required fluid pressure has become lower than the HSA start reference pressure to a value higher than the reference brake pressure.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2013Date of Patent: November 24, 2015Assignees: Nissin Kogyo Co., Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Kinoshita, Kohei Akamine, Yuzo Okubo

Patent number: 8795111Abstract: When a driver returns an accelerator pedal, preliminary pressure increase apparatus increases a line pressure to a preliminary pressure increase value according to the speed of return of an accelerator pedal detected by an accelerator pedal return speed sensor. When a braking state sensor detects that the speed of depression of a brake pedal is a predetermined value or above, pressure increase when braking apparatus further increases the line pressure from the preliminary pressure increase value to a slip preventing pressure increase value. The line pressure is increased to a preliminary pressure increase value when it is predicted that braking will be carried out subsequent to an accelerator pedal return operation, when subsequently there is sudden braking it becomes possible to increase the line pressure to a slip preventing pressure increase value that can prevent an endless belt from slipping accompanying sudden braking.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2009Date of Patent: August 5, 2014Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuzo Okubo, Atsushi Sato

Patent number: 8738246Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling a CVT that transmits power of an engine to driven wheels with hydraulic clamping pressure supplied from a hydraulic mechanism to clamp the belt from laterally-sided pulleys, it is determined whether the ABS operation of the ABS mechanism (to reduce braking force to be applied to the driven wheels when the driven wheels are locked) is delayed, and set hydraulic clamping pressure is increased when the ABS operation is determined to be delayed, while the set clamping pressure is maintained as it is when the operation of the ABS mechanism is determined to be not delayed.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2010Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuichiro Takemori, Yuzo Okubo, Masatoshi Noguchi

Patent number: 8478483Abstract: In an apparatus for detecting a skid occurred on a four-wheel drive vehicle having a prime mover and a transmission, an actual rear right/left wheel speed ratio between the rear right/left wheel speeds is calculated based on detected front and rear wheel rotational speeds, a front/rear wheel slip ratio during grip-driving is calculated by retrieving characteristics of a front/rear wheel slip ratio set with respect to a rear right/left wheel speed ratio using the calculated actual rear right/left wheel speed ratio, an actual front/rear wheel slip ratio is calculated based on the detected front wheel rotational speed and the rear wheel rotational speed, and occurrence of skid is then determined based on a difference between the calculated front/rear wheel slip ratio during grip-driving and the calculated actual front/rear wheel slip ratio.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2010Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yuichiro Takemori, Masatoshi Noguchi, Yuzo Okubo
