  • Patent number: 4585083
Abstract: A mechanism for detecting a load including a load shaft connected to a pan receiving rod and extending vertically, a first arm plate having integrally formed arms whose one ends are connected to each other, a second arm plate having integrally formed arms whose one ends are connected to each other, and a vertical link connected between the one ends of the arms of first and second arm plates, the other ends of the arms of first and second arm plates being connected to the load shaft and to a fixed member. When a load is applied to the load shaft, the load shaft is moved linearly in the vertical direction without being affected by a force exerted to the load shaft in the horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 4544858
Abstract: A mechanism for converting a weight into a frequency by means of a tuning fork vibrator having a pair of elongated plate-like vibrating strips extending in parallel with each other, a lever unit with a power pivot, fulcrum pivot and a load pivot, and a base portion, both ends of the tuning fork vibrator being coupled with the power pivot of the lever unit and the base portion, respectively by means of thin plate-like members. The weight to be converted is applied to the load pivot of the lever unit and is transferred to the tuning fork vibrator by means of the lever unit. All the parts of the mechanism are formed integrally from a single plate.

  • Patent number: 4368382
Abstract: An apparatus for counting the number of articles of the same kind comprising a measuring chute rotatably journalled to a horizontal shaft and being arranged in an inclined manner, a parts-feeder for supplying the articles onto the measuring chute substantially at a point of the horizontal shaft, a load detector for detecting torque generated on the horizontal shaft when the articles supplied on the measuring chute are discharged from the chute at its lower end remote from the horizontal shaft to produce a torque output and a measuring circuit including a circuit for detecting peaks in the torque output to produce pulses and a counter for counting the number of peaks.

  • Patent number: 4157738
Abstract: A method for counting the number of articles or goods of the same kind using a weighing machine which comprises a step of measuring an average or mean weight of sample articles, a step of measuring a weight of all articles to be counted and a step of calculating the number of the all articles by dividing the measured weight by the mean weight. Said step of measuring the mean weight includes a step of measuring a temporary mean weight a.sub.1 of a known small number of articles P.sub.1, a step of adding any unknown number of articles P.sub.2, a step of measuring a weight W.sub.1 of these articles P.sub.1 plus P.sub.2, a step of calculating the number N.sub.1 of the articles by rounding off a quotient obtained by dividing the weight W.sub.1 by the temporary mean weight a.sub.1 and a step of calculating a standard mean weight a.sub.2 by dividing said measured weight W.sub.1 by said calculated number N.sub.1.
