  • Publication number: 20120010777
Abstract: A method for locating the position of wheels (4) fitted with an electronic module (8) suitable for transmitting, to a central processing unit mounted on the vehicle, signals representative of operating parameters of each wheel. During a given time window, the successive movements of the vehicle, changes of direction and/or changes of speed, are read so as to establish for each wheel (4), based on data stored in a preliminary phase, a series of values representative, for this succession of movements, of the theoretical variations of temperature inside the tire fitted to the wheel. Moreover, for each wheel (4), during the time window, the variations of the temperature inside the tire fitted to the wheel are measured, and the measured series of values is compared with each theoretical series of values, so as to establish a correspondence leading to the localization of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 7392119
Abstract: A method and device for locating the position, on the right or on the left, of a vehicle wheel. The wheel is equipped with two magnetic sensors having axes of maximum sensitivity lying in a plane that is secant to the axis of rotation of the wheel and which are offset from one another in this secant plane by a predetermined angle ?. As the vehicle moves in a given travel direction, a signal generated by the variation in a magnetic field is measured at the terminals of each of the magnetic sensors to deliver two periodic signals phase-shifted from one another by an angular value equal to (+ or ?) ?, this phase shift is used to determine the direction of wheel rotation, and from such direction and the travel direction, the location, on the right or on the left, of the wheel is deduced.

  • Patent number: 7331256
Abstract: A pedal has a control device (2) including a mobile pedal (6), elements for returning (20, 22) the control device returning the pedal (6) in its idle position as well as a force-feedback mechanism (4) to produce a hard spot when the pedal (6) is depressed. The force-feedback mechanism (4) includes an electric motor (28) designed to act on the control device (2), via one-way linking elements (36) and gear reduction elements, in the same direction as the return elements (20, 22). The one-way link prevents any action of the force-feedback mechanism (4) on the control device (3) in the direction opposite to the direction of action of the return elements (20, 22) The one-way link advantageously includes a clearance which enables the electric motor (28) to rotate in the direction allowing it to act on the control device (2) without acting immediately on the device.

  • Patent number: 5145340
Abstract: A packing is disclosed for piston and valve machine, an annular metal body (20) intended to be immobilized in the first recess by a clamping nut and, in its internal pheripheral face (24), an annular second recess (25), a gasket holding and stress ring (27) disposed in the second recess while being immobilized against the bottom thereof, a gasket (28) formed by at least two packing rings (29) split over the whole of their axial length and over their thickness, side by side, deformable radially and not axially and whose radial thickness is greater than the measurement complementary to the thickness of the ring to equalize the depth of the second recess, and a stop ring (35) in abutment againt the bottom of the second recess, on which the gasket bears.
